According to UIL rules because the game didn"t go to 5 innings the game will be restarted , unless our district adopted a different rule which apparently they did not.

How  many innings did you get in and what was the score?

Alright, rain cancellation in the bottom of the 4th tied 1-1 with two runners on. Whats the rule? Start the game over again at the next available day, or pick up the game where it was left off? ???

Nothing fishy going on in Dayton,just wet. Our new coach is working on correcting problems and getting tarps, he's been busy coaching. As far as Smesny and Walters are concerned, both were available today, pretty doubtful either will pitch Friday. Bring your A game cause we'll bring ours.

Walters complete game, Frank Smesny 2 HR's, grand slam in first and 2 run later in game. Dayton's bats came alive and defense was pretty solid as well. Good win for Dayton.....

I believe Kolarik went 3. Had some wicked stuff at the end after he settled down though

Though they lost, Dayton can take a lot of positives out of this one. One, Frank Smesny was untouchable in his pitching with great control. Two, defensively Dayton played great with Walker playing a great third base in for Kubasik, Crowder caught an excellent game and Kolarik pitched great in his first work of the year. Just need to get the bats rolling and Dayton will suprise a lot of people in district in my opinion. Go Broncos!!!!!

Evan Brown returned last week and Zach Crowder was released by the doctor yesterday so he will also be playing Saturday night.

Congrats, FW. I was at the game and was very impressed by QB Karam, 3 early TO's and did not faze him in the least. Our secondary did get torched. I will not whine and belly ache about it, you guys played a hell of a ball game. Our defense was probably on the field for 3 out of the 4 quarters which makes winning pretty difficult. Any way, good luck with your season and nice job. The Nebraska fans sitting by me in the stands were not impressed to say the least. Dayton will bounce back of that I am sure come district play. I still love my Broncos; Would have put the back up QB in but he played on defense the whole game, at least in the 4th qtr to get some seasoning, just my .02 on that though.
