We could not be more proud of our juniors right now. These boys have begun to click and will be a force this week at Hawk Stadium. We were fortunate over in EC last night and got by the Vidor Senior boys so HJ White moved into the next round and will face the Hamshire-Fannett Longhorns in the senior division.

Thanks Chris, I heard ol "yo quiero" over there. He sounds very competitive. He never gave up and the boys followed him. He's good for those young men. Your team showed heart, courage and most of all great sportsmanship. That is the first time I have witnessed a team with so many young men come over after the handshake and congradulate our boys on a good game and that, my hefty-big-butted friend, is a reflection of you and Jeromy and something you should be proud of. Thanks brother.

I want to go on record and let everyone know how classy Hamshire Fannett really is. I have jacked with Capt. Claude all week because he didn't have his cards last week and it bit me Saturday night. I had my cards, but for some reason, my running back's card wasn't where it was supposed to be. I didn't have it. Didn't know where it was. Larry Leblanc told his president that he new the kid had been certified because he saw him get certified. They let him play knowing how good he is. They were honest and did the right thing. My hats off to Hamshire.

4th in the West senior division is HJ Blue but they will forfeit. Too many kids quit. I think they only had 9 this week ready to play.

Ok, I've had time to sleep on this one. I honestly believe that we (HF and HJ) will not have a chance to use our 2nd teams. I think this one may go down to the wire. I look for a hard, tough football game. These are our friends and we really want to beat them as they do us. It will be good for both teams to go into a tight game. That helps build character for players and coaches and I need some CHARACTER! Anyhow, good luck to HF and Larry. See you tomorrow.
