  1. Look dude, would you make a point already! All of your post are you giving your opinion and then you think its ok because you put the words "its for the kids" after every post. Hey, I got one, its for the kids.
  2. I would have personally waived the card check, that's just me. If I had forgotten mine and you would have made me forfeit, I would have tried to score 100 on ya just because your implying that I'm cheating. Personally, I think it was chicken
  3. I know one thing, Coach Comeaux gonna have his hands full this weekend. Where ya at Chris " do you have any petroleum jelly" Comeaux.
  4. suprisingly that coming from you Big E was a good post.. Sometimes kids that are the coaches son suffer because the coach is so worried about what the parents think. Some coaches are harder on there kids then anyone else.I have called different plays at the goalline for my kid not to get the ball ,so there wouldn't be favortism. But that's not fair to the coaches son when a coach does that. It's a touchy subject.. I can be serious sometimes ;D
  5. I was just reading some of the post on here and felt like I could add something. My kids have been subject to the "Daddy Ball" also and that is what prompted me to get involved in coaching. There is stress that goes with it. My wife and I have had lots of arguements over me riding my boys harder than the other players, but now that she is a board member and sees all the complaints about coaches and their own kids, she leaves me alone about it. As a coach, my boys shouldn't suffer because of dads that favor their own kids but they do. That is one drawback of being a "coaches kid". There are also the instances that parents watching from the sidelines don't see and that's the day to day " my elbow hurts" or "my leg hurts" from the same kids over and over when you are doing your hitting or tackling drills. Also, the 10 play rule is not only there to make sure your kid gets to play, its also there for the coaches to protect those kids that may have not yet developed into the strong, aggressive football player that their parents would like them to be. I've also figured out that alot of coaches decisions are made at the dinner table with the other spouse who may be involved in the decision and not involved in the coaching. Just trying to shed some light from a coaches point of view.
  6. Piratefan, you finally runnin somethin? :o
  7. Never count out them D-ville Pirates. I didn't see Larry listed on here?
  8. Where are ya Chris (you gonna eat that) Comeaux?
  9. Yea dude, it was all about the Reaganomics when I was in school. Comeaux is a very nice guy and demands respect from the Whataburgers of the world. ;D
  10. Ya'll need to let Pirate78 make it though. He's kinda old. Carter was President when he graduated. He was in school learnin about farmin peanuts and sh@#.
  11. Coach Comeaux your just as bad as Rusted Cutlass, if you think slamming your hand in a car door will help you tackle somebody your gravely mistaken. The only thing that will help is to get a ride to the emergency room while nurse your broken knuckle. Whether there be an underlying message or not that was probably the most ignorant thing I read on here by far. But then again it is easy to say what needs to be done on the football field and in practice from the sanctity of your own home. I do agree with the fumble issue, the ball cannot be dropped. You drop the ball you lose the game, its that plain and simple. If Vidor can hang on to the ball they will come out victorious. By the way, where exactly do you coach at Coach Comeaux? Pirate78 you have to be kidding right...you live in Vidor and dont know who Coach Comeaux is.....thats funny....Comeaux I agree with you....lol Honestly no I do not and I have asked around and nobody knows so please enlighten me PiratesLife. This is honestly funny. I'm from little ol Sour Lake Texas and I know who Chris ( cool as a cucumber) Comeaux is!
  12. How them Pirates do Friday night anyhow?
  13. Moderater my foot! You stir the pot more than anyone on here. I'm fixin to go back and start hanging with buddydave!
  14. We had 2 kids come to the sideline mad because of a kid with a 70 ish number, grabbing their facemask and dragging them to the ground when we played Warren. That's cool....
  15. The Warrior coaches are very classy, I can atest to that (did I spell that right?) But I will say, my team was a little upset at the way the Warren boys were smack talking last week. They havn't been that upset towards any other team yet this year. Not trying to "stir the pot" so to speak, just saying, I wouldn't start telling everyone that other teams basically don't have class. We are playing football here, and there is an attiatude or "swagger" that goes with that. The Warren boys are a good football team and do "talk trash" during the game. We weren't griping about it, we fed off of it. A team's "class" should not come under fire because of the actions of a few parents and you don't know if the association your speaking of even handled it when the game was over. I kinda take offense to your post because I like to think my team is a very classy group of young men that practice hard and play even harder. I just wouldn't go throwing stones if I lived in a glass house.
  16. C'mon Captain Cluade, I wouldn't lay it on thick. Speaking of thick, have you ever seen TCHawks 99's mother? Anyway, this is an inter-association game! These boys go to school together, and live in the same neighborhoods and deer-leases. And we scrimmage them almost every day. If anyone has a good scouting report on us, its the HJ Blue team.
  17. I love it when you call me big paaaa pa! big paaaa pa 8) 8)
  18. HJ White has got HJ Blue and we look for a hard, tough, rivalry-type football game.
