Brenham's Erich Weiss (fr) is leading the Horns, going 9 for 11. He was kind of hot that first weekend.

The Hill's Kendall Thamm got a start for ULM against UTSA on Sun. He went 2.1 innings and gave up 2 runs. Got a no decision.

Brenham alum Steven Martin is on A&Ms roster although he doesnt get much pt. He was a first baseman at Brenham and he pitches/pinch hits for the Ags.

Nederland's Kirby Bellow made his debut in Saturdays early game.

Bua and White were definitely great together. Too bad Bua moved to Louisiana before his senior year. He played collegiately at Arkansas.

I thought Malcolm Brown played nose tackle????

Took me all day but I thought of a few more I would like. 1. Qb has to call the offensive play, can not be sent/signalled in by coaches. 2. No film trade with opponents, got to get all your info from your scouts. 3. On a touchback, ball comes out to the 40.

This would apply to all sports: In the first round of the playoffs, the higher seeded team would be home team.

For those few that dont know the Stratford/Brenham game was on tv. It can be viewed on the channel 13 website out of Houston. The finish is really good and a few of you might just be interested in watching these teams for yourself. Both teams looked pretty good last night.

I dont think either of these teams could hang with the Hill, cause they are for REAL.

I feel for your situation transplant but have to asked anyone in DISD if/why football is more important than other sports. There are other places out there that wouldnt let this fly. There are lots of 4a teams out there that are glad that there are a ton of schools like Dayton that dont care. Those programs enjoy going deep into the playoffs every year.

District 17 pulled out the brooms on poor ole District 18. It wasnt close in any of the games. This may be a prelude to football as well.

I would just like to remind you people that "our" and "are" do not mean the same thing and are not interchangable.

Im really happy for the Hill that they are finally getting to have offseason baseball. To Dayton folks, I really feel for ya. Dayton seems to be football only right now and that sucks for those that play other sports. My suggestion is to move as I dont think DISD will change the policy any time soon.

Is Barber's Hill having offseason baseball during the athletic period this year? Will the baseballers have to go to football offseason in the spring before practice?

Biggest key is to keep playing teams that arent as good as Dayton. They should be fine all the way through district as they will be better than everyone else.

Good thing those BH coaches have all those state championships, looks like it intimidated Dayton.

This game was NOT nearly as close as the score indicates. Brenham could have put 100 on MW if they had really wanted to.

Im really thinking that it was someone other than the AD/HFC that ordered the throwback style. Think higher up the totem pole.

Did the BH coach get to call the plays or did the Supt./board members call them?

I read that about 20 times and im still confused as all get out.

First scrimmage is on a sat. because that is the first day that the UIL allows them.

The UIL didnt have last year's bracket posted but I got some results from the 08 season. Evadale, Kirbyville, Woodville, LCM, Ozen, and Nederland were all eliminated in their first match. West Hardin, Kountze, Orangefield, and PNG won 1 match and Ofield also received a bye. Hardin (not even a golden triangle team really) and Ham Fannett each won 3 playoff matches. No GT 5A team made the playoffs. So, the cumulative record was 10 wins, 12 losses in the playoffs.
