1.
This is game will be, with apologies to Liberty, OF and Kirbyville on the Jasper side and LC-M, PN-G and Central on the WO-S side, by far the toughest test for both teams thus far this season.  I'll have to respectfully disagree with my friend ryker that the team and coaches are foolish enough as some fans are to look past Jasper.  Do I think WO-S will win? Yes.  Do I think some sort of blowout will occur? No.  It will be, as many Jasper/WO-S games have been, uncomfortably close for fans on both sides of the field.
This is about the most sensible thing anyone has said in this thread so far!
2. Central only 150 yards total offense.
3. West Orange-Stark gets shutout # 82!
4. Stangs fumble at central goal line.  Too many penalities and turnovers, but a win is a win.
5. Stang fumbles Central recovers. 3:56 left
6. Central punts, Rhodes punt return to Central 32 yd line. 4 of Central 5 2nd half possessions have been 3 and out.
7. Stang punts, Central ball at own 19 yard line.
8. Starting ot get kinda ugly or sloppy/  lots of penalties on both
9. WOS takes 2nd half kickoff and drives 70 yards in 12 plays, Siemen TD, 14-0 WOS
10. Halftime 7-0 WO-S.  Central with a 2-1 time of possession advantage.
11. TD,  WO-S!. PAT Good, 7-0 3:15 left 2nd
12. Over midway through 2nd qtr, Mustangs no 1st downs. Central fumbles, WO-S recovers at Central 32.
13. Wow! Some serious talking going on in this thread!!!  I realize football is important, but remember its just kids out there doing there best.  Whoever wins, whoever loses, it wont affect the district race for either.  it may however, make each team better prepared for district.  It will be a bruising, physical game.  Hopefully no one will get injured.  Both teams need everyone ready when they start there district games.  having said all that, i think whoever wins it will be by 10 or less points. Good luck to both schools.
14. Who is #9 for PNG?  he looks small but he is a shifty little runner.
15.

WOS didn't help there cause on PNG last drive. Unneccessary roughness and pass interference penalties hurt them.
marshman are you at the game?
Yes
16. Also surprised the chain gang isn't putting more pressure on PNG qb.  They gotten some but not much.
17. WOS didn't help there cause on PNG last drive. Unneccessary roughness and pass interference penalties hurt them.
18. WO-S at PNG
19.

Did the cutoff for 5A used to be much lower or has WOS lost that many students?  If so, why the exodus?
The latter.  Simply, no jobs.  Throughout Orange's growth and into the early '80s Orange has a couple of large ship building companies, Levingston and American Bridge which employed thousands.  By the end of 1985, I believe the two companies combined had a payroll of less than 200/  Combine this with the fact that plants along "Chemical Row" have been reducing staff, usually through attrition, Orange is not the best place to find a job.
That's the absolute truth!! I been looking for a job for nearly a year with no luck.  Finally decided to go to LIT full time for Instrumentation. Thanks for bringing back some great memories of other great games!
