1. Rules have changed in Louisiana so seeing a Louisiana school playing Texas schools probably wont occur very often The LA Schools run a "power ranking system" to align the top 32 teams for the playoffs so playing Texas schools give them Zero points. Its the same for high school baseball, so doubt this is something that would occur because La high schools need those points each Friday night and heading to play Tx schools doesnt benefit them point wise.

4. Superb Event to attend.. If I were a high school kid looking for an opportunity, I would def entertain this event ...for having the chance to play at the Boston Red Sox Spring Training Facility is an honor, knowing the history of so many Red Sox players who have performed and worked out on those fields. It's a fun week for all involved.... Good luck Dave, Jody, and the Gladiator team...
5. The history of Coach Jag is to build successful baseball programs and after 4-6yrs, move on to the next challenge, but getting a call last week about this situation and him "retiring" made me wonder and ask is his health ok or is he moving on to another school by the end of the summer... The man can flat out build programs and develop players with his no-nonsense direct approach, a trait not used by many coaches any more these days.... Wish the man well, for he is a true baseball man....
6. GTB Summer League Information: We expanded the days to 2 nights per week and accepted 56total players from SETx and SWLa. Our format is 4 coaches, 1 supervisor, umpires, college players home from school, and our staff will be in charge of clocking velocity, Contact to 1st times, grading hitters swings and fielding, and more each day on the field. Teams will compete in a full 7 inning game and play will be halted when "teaching" needs to be done. The 56 boys were divided into 28 boys per night, (14man rosters) competing against one another each week. Tuesday and Wednesdays 6pm each week in June and July. We have kids representing 17 different area high schools in the league. We ask that the public attend n support and more not, bring the young kids out to watch these high school guys play baseball. Id be glad to share some time with the young ones who attend and allow them to go on field to meet these boys before games between 530-550pm each day. This game is meant for the little boy within all of us, so Id really enjoy seeing 6,7,8,9-12yr olds out to be apart of this, bring a glove and we will have players play "catch" with your young son and spend a few minutes with them. Legacy Christians Baseball field is located behind campus @ 8200 Hwy 105 Beaumont All income from drink sales and donations will be placed directly into Legacy Christian Academy Baseball Program to enhance our facilities. New dugouts with water fountains and field lights have been paid for and plans will be constructed in the fall, working on covered cages, modern backstop, outfield wall, and concession stand-press box. 7. The Locals that I know of that were to receive "Invites" to the Area Code Workout: Andrew Lantrip Livingston Matt White Lumberton Charles Guillory Westbrook Brandon Humphrey LCM Logan Ashworth PNG Kameron Esthay Sam Houston(La) More n more kids receive the invites these days, some never get on the field for I remember last year they only allowed Austin Stone to throw in the bullpen... so it used to be a very "select" group, now they invite 150plus kids to make sure they DONT overlook anyone but it sure helps these college programs having these kids all at once at one site. And what an honor to a young high school guy being at an event with so so many skilled players and so many "baseball guys" there to evaluate em.
8. Add Ole Miss Outfielder TANNER MATHIS... #817 by the Houston Astros So proud of this young man, can flat out play, hit, and field, and think the Astros will move forward and display the kids tool to steal bases for Ole Miss doesnt run much under Coach B so he didnt display it much. Wish the Rockies would have popped him, but will get the priveldge of seeing him more now with so many Astro affiliates within driving distance. Congrats TMat... Fackler
9. GTB 16u Ballclub heading to LSU July 2-6 Coaches: Jay Stone(PNG Retired) / Jesse Riojas (PA Memorial) Roster Chase Shugart - Bridge City Ethan Franklin - Buna Grant Anderson - WOS Bradely Sowell - Dayton Shane Selmen - Westbrook Ryan Erickson - Lumberton Grayson Padgett - Hardin Jefferson Tryce Howard - Orangefield Jonah Watts - Bridge City Devin Roedahl - Westbrook Matt White - Lumberton Aiden Anderson - WOS Aaron Edelmon - Hardin Jefferson Austin Marshall - Kountze Blake Lane - PNG Brian Feltmen - Nederland Team selected mostly on ability to impact the team at multiple positions with quality defensive range, arm strength, and athleticism.  Also selected them on their impact to the squad to accept their role as a lineup starters 8, starting pitcher(4), relief pitcher(4), and closers(2) and late inning defensive players at the corners and outfield. We had a tremendous group show to workout as well as contact me from areas outside  of SE Tx, such as Dallas, Houston, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and even Florida. So we will now "Demand our guys to wear the "SETX Logo proud" as well as represent all of the 57 kids who inquired-workedout for us. I want to Thank the 5 coaches-college player who were on staff to aid me with their insight evaluating these young men on the squad. Now much work lies ahead to create a brotherhood among these 16 boys to be a TEAM. Chris Fackler
10. Wanting to make sure everyone knows what the schedule is for DAY1 of the GTB Summer League at Legacy Christian Academy High School at 8200 Hwy 105 behind the Legacy campus. GTB Summer League Day 1 - Tuesday June 5 Time: 545pm Total Participants - 44paid, 52 registered, 4 teams 12-13man rosters Game days: Tues 2 teams / Wed 2 teams Format: ALL PLAYERS REPORT ON TUESDAY JUNE 5 Equipment: Wear WHITE baseball pants, high school cap, bring your own gear, catchers equipment, and bat. Cost: $135per player was due May 20th. To those who are still interested, we apologize but we are FULL for this years summer league but will have Fall Options starting September 3rd. Tuesday June 5th 545pm We will get all personal information from each player. We will conduct a complete skill testing workout. We will sit with each player-parent to schedule each players gamenight that he is required to attend each week. Meaning, some players have requested to play on Wednesdays, some players on Tuesdays, therefore when we are done with the workout on Tuesday June 5th, EVERY player will know their scheduled day to play games each week. We will not have any Thursday night games for we will use Thurs for rainouts if need be. I refuse to have any one player confused or not organized knowing when he is expected to show up for his games. So meeting Tuesday gets EVERYONE on the same page. Those wishing to play BOTH nights we can discuss Tuesday Night. We supply jersey top, we will pick jerseys back up at end of night, wash uniform tops for you for to wear again the following week. We need to get all information on the kids, for so many sent in checks but didn't list either contact info or positions for which they want to play, I blame me for this not being more specific on details on what to mail in, but we now get to have EVERYONE on site and confirm everything on Tuesday June 5th. There is NO team practices, it is up to you the player to be in shape and ready to perform each week. Once again, BABE RUTH games take priority over this league, its a personal decision on my part, but I really enjoy the tradition and history of Babe Ruth in Nederland and want to make sure we DO NOT effect their player turnout. Any questions, PLEASE contact me through email - [email protected]. Thank You, Chris Fackler
11. All Parents and players PLEASE make sure we have communicated by Friday on times, dates, etc... for your son starting the "GTB Summer League" next Tuesday or Wednesday night. Those who preferred Thursday, I'm sorry but not enough requests were made for playing on Thursdays. Shoot me an email or text me, Thx for the overwhealming support and participation into the 1st season of the 'GTB Summer League". [email protected]

14. The GTB Summer League has earned such a large response, I am NOT wanting to cut any young man from the opportunity getting to play. Therefore, I want to open up another night to play games. What I need from each participant is to pick a night that works best for you. Which ever night you pick will be your sons night once per week to play baseball, 6pm at Legacy Christian. I am asking every parent and kid, to PLEASE respond within the next 48hours... So you are chosing to play on either Tues or Wed or Thur night 6pm each week in June and 3weeks into July. Pick one of the nights and send to me with your sons name and night - for example: John Smith - Wednesday Nights. OR John Smith - any night works for us I want to make this work BEST for each kid. Whatever night you chose will be the night he competes each week during this league. Those who have NOT paid need to get a check in the mail ASAP. Thx, Chris.Fackler @ GMail.Com
15. Buna loses 3-0, got no hit. But knowing those kids, they'll respond tomorrow. Fackler
16. Please email me at chris.fackler@gmail and I will do my best to make it work. Yes we are full, but may have some options. It filled so fast, I hated to cut things off at 44 players and very disappointed I had to do this to these young men who want to learn and play this summer to improve. Im keeping every ones names so please still email me and if I can make another option work, Im open to try AS LONG AS ITS ORGANIZED, COACHED, AND PRODUCTIVE to the kids attending. Thank You, Fackler
17. Summer time is fast approaching and school is out soon, so now was wondering, Besides Select Baseball, what other options are out there for 7-8yr old kids who just want to be developed at practice, play a game here and there or play once a week? Our League Ball ends at the end of May. Im curious to get insight on where a 7yr old (or play up with 8yr olds), can play to improve during June and July? Anything locally in SETx that provides this format for this age group? Thanks in advance, Chris Fackler
18. I want to clarify, this is a one time tournament thing, so stay with your regular summer select teams or summer league, but make time for July 2-6 for we are traveling over to be seen, evaluated and enjoy the experience of taking our local players over to "Alex Box" on the campus of LSU. Remember, most select teams play on weekends so this will NOT interfer, for this is during the week(Mon-Fri).

20. This league has gotten to 40players  signed up REAL QUICK. I am looking to expand the schedule so bare with me. Still email me your sons name, age, next years classification, school and positions. Bare with me for we have plenty time. Thank You, Fackler
21. With SE Tx so obsorbed with select baseball, Id like to offer 2 area teams the use of our field for practices and use for games. I will personally take care of the field work and supply water coolers in dugouts, the cages are accessible also. All team requirments are as follows: **Must have a $1,000,000 insurance TEAM policy - I cannot get around this one requirement sorry. **A fee of $150per month for usage goes directly into our LCA Booster Club - allows for 5 practices a month. **Any games on the field cost $40per game, which I will personally fix the field in playing shape, tamp mounds home plate and have field mowed and in solid playing conditions. "Tournament Games" per game fees are less - 1 flat fee **As head coach, have the right to cancel any games due to weather conditions and possible "damage" to playing surface due to rains. Open to 13u - 18u teams. Those looking for another venue to host any tournament games, or use our field in connection to any tournaments hosted at Westbrook or Lamar, can contact me so we can devise a format for any Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sundays for tournament use on the field. We will begin doing several projects on the field, resurfacing infield, new dugouts, new scoreboard, lights, and adding more cages, but none of this will effect anyone playing games, for we will halt any field projects around scheduled games, to allow the kids the opportunity to play baseball at Legacy Field. Thank you for considering us in advance, Chris Fackler - Chris.Fackler @ GMail.Com
22. Golden Triangle Baseball High School Summer League Information Games: Meet each TUESDAY NIGHT in June and July 6pm - Begins June 5th Location: Legacy Field on the campus of Legacy Christian Academy High School in Beaumont Roster/Format: We place the kids on teams to play a 9inning "Instructional game" each week Requirments: 2013 High School Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors (Some selected Freshman) Gear: We supply the jersey tops, the player supplies pants, high school cap, and catching gear. Cost: $135per player / A minimum $40roster spot fee needs mailed in asap and remaining balance paid by May 20th. We are only accepting the 1st 24 players who register, yet we are getting a huge response now, so if we get to where we can fill 4-6 teams, we will then expand to Thursday nights 6pm as well and allow another 18players to jump on board. We want all rosters at 10-12players so everyone is getting time on the field the entire game. We have much support and participation from area high school coaches, college coaches, college players, and professional scouts that will be making appearances at times to oversee things. The summer season should be about developing another pitch, or increasing the knowledge on the field, or enhancing your swing, a dedication to improving, so we want to offer the areas best players from SETx and SWLa, each week playing a 9inning game against one another. IF The player just wants to show up unorganized and lack focus, we ask that you pass on registering for we want an "intense league of players who work, show up on time, dedicated to consistent appearances and strives at  improving his overall game during the summer. This league is for the dedicated player. Pitchers will only be allowed to pitch 9outs max, UNLESS, We know you are NOT involved with a select team weekend program, we will then allow you 12outs. Arm care will be taken seriously in this league. I want to make this perfectly clear and as I discussed with Mr Landry over in Mid County, we SUPPORT BABE RUTH BASEBALL, So those nights that are of conflict, we want you to CHOSE your BABE RUTH game for that particular night and return to us the following week. FYI, We already have kids from Legacy, Bmt Kelly, Bmt Westbrook, Orangefield, Kountze, West Orange Stark, Nederland, Port Neches, LCM, Livingston, Buna, Hardin Jefferson, Lumberton, Vidor, PA Memorial, Sam Houston High(La) signed up and want to expand to more kids in the area. Please do not wait to register or contact me, for once we get our roster limit, we will close out the rosters. Contact: Chris.Fackler @ GMail.Com
