Bridge City isn't much better than Livingston. Maybe a TD better. But not 3.

And technically, not realistically, but technically, Livingston still has a shot at the playoffs if the win out and LC-M beats Hargrave. Again, highly unlikely, but technically possible.

So this could be a trap for the Cardinals. I hope so because otherwise the Lions will go into 2019 on a 20+ game losing streak. Heck it may be 20 now. The last team we beat doesn't even exist anymore. RIP Ozen.

Let me quit drinking. It's giving me irrational thoughts.

I don’t think BC has scored 3 td’s in a game this year

Yeah... the whole thing was puzzling. We had a lot of key players playing both ways, but trying to run a hurry-up offense in the first half... then we started chewing clock once we got down by 20+. New strategy I guess.

I think we can beat Livingston, but it’s a meaningless win. I don’t see us beating anybody else in the district, no offense. I mean that... we have no offense. We didn’t look this inept the first year we implemented the Slot T, and this is the fourth year in the system. Our first three drives resulted in a 3 and out and three fumbles. You’re not going to beat anybody if you tee them up like that. We played better in the second half, with the long drive and some better defensive efforts. Our secondary is...... not good defending the pass. We don’t tackle. It’s the smallest BC team I can remember in both size and numbers.

And we’re having kind of season that leads to decreased future participation. It’s a sad time in Cardinal Country.

I don’t know... I’m not calling for the guy’s head... he honestly doesn’t have a lot to work with.

Bc isn’t a football school.. we play baseball. We made some real strides in that direction and outdid ourselves with the Dubois hire. We honestly wouldn’t have gotten him if he wasn’t a hometown guy who wanted to come home. I think we’ll settle back down and play good baseball and lose 8-9 football games per year going forward.

Its not just a coaching issue. It’s a community issue. The kids don’t care enough about the game to put in their time. Heck, the stands are full of kids that should be playing. If you can turn out 170 kids for the band, but only dress 32 to actually play the game, that tells you what the kids and the community want.

One of the line coaches has a son that would seem to be a natural line player. He’s huge. You can see him on the sideline tossing balls around. He doesn’t play football... he’s a baseball man. Not trying to single the kid out, but that’s how it goes down in BC. Kids would normally play and spend the offseason lifting and improving aren’t involved.

I hear BC has a nice little group coming up. Anybody have information on them? Might be something positive in the near future!

  3. How much deeper are you going to dig this hole? Paying Briggs probably 10x Stump's stipend as AD seems unnecessary and wasteful to many. And Briggs will only ride out the next year or two, then he will go fishing. Are you saying Stump was not doing his job? Can't say I have heard anyone say that. Ask some of the coaches he has gone up against. I bet you won't find one that will say his Cardinals weren't ready to play. Are you saying other coaches at BC aren't doing their jobs? Who are they? How do you know this? Maybe you should be the next Superintendent. I'm SURE you are qualified.

I hope you don't live in a glass house, because you sure throw a lot of stones.

Getting a football team ready on Friday night was not his only job. HELLO he was the AD! I personally know plenty of people working for BC isd currently and what you're saying is not adding up..
  4. Bottom line is they wanted to get rid of stump. Briggs didn't want to be principal but wanted to work a few more years. So perfect situation says king to his big buddy Briggs. I will make you AD and we will get stump out of here and you can still make your same salary and not have to do much of anything. So all king has to do is talk his school board buddies into going alone with this which isn't hard because they just love they are big buddies with the supt. and he plays them just like the last supt. did to get what he wanted. So things fall into place just like King and Briggs planned. So now they will try to talk someone into coming be a head football coach with the understanding it will only be for a few more years until Briggs decides he wants to retire. This kind of BS will continue to take place at ncisd as long as some of the school board decides it's not wise to become buddy buddy with the person you have to evaluate and decide if they are doing what's best for the district.

You obviously have no insight behind the scenes in BC. Briggs is ACTUALLY doing his job as athletic director. Some coaches in BC are probably nervous with Briggs being AD because he is making sure there doing their jobs. Don't know what your ties are with BC, or how much you know, but Briggs doesn't deserve this kind of wrap.

Yeah yeah yeah fisherman blah blah blah keep making excuses! Kelly needs to get out of that defense if they want to win any games this year!
Hahaha are you expecting a kid who has practiced ONE week with the team to know the offense? And look at the stats from the first game Thomas Falgout had 107 receiving yards the rest of the team had like 15 and Thomas dislocated his thumb in pre game warm ups and just couldn't catch the ball this game. I'm not trying to make excuses I'm just saying this year Kelly has no depth at all and our best o line man, and starting Qb, and best receiver were injured.
BC's secondary had him and the rest of Kelly's receiver core cover like white on rice..

    Barbers Hill Eagle Stadium.

They have spent all that money on upgrades and only get 1 playoff game each year. 8)
If they had a bigger Visitors stand that would be great

For the Bridge City playoff game we were packed in there. Couldn't imagine a 4A or 5A school in there for a playoff game!
  7. Remember when kirbyville went to state two years in a row? I don't recall them talking any smack like this. Why can't you guys get over yourself? You won the game, forget about BC were nothing but history. On the other hand WOS is one of the most dominate winning teams in the state of Texas it will take coldspring decades to accomplish what they have. I know you guys are excited about being really good these last two years but don't let it get to your heads.. To get respect you got to give it...
