Man I must be the most ignorant basketball fan around! I asked my pal who used to be a basketball coach and he said Hampshire whole starting team came from Beaumont with Coach Rideaux. He said they all play select ball together. I had no idea. Mr. Hoops, that seems fair to you?
He also agreed with ole Cardinal and said those kids are real good players!!
Haha my daddy used to tear my butt up when I gave him the old well so and so was doing it excuse so I can't agree with you logic there! I still say let the boys play. I find it hard to believe any of these coaches would risk there jobs over teenagers.
I did not know that. I could tell how much Coach Rideaux cared about his players when he was at Lumberton. Who could blame kids for wanting to play for him? He is a great coach and he is a great role model.
I never got why that makes people mad. If a player wants to go to a new school he should. That's noone elses business. Who cares if Hampshire Fannett gets a couple transfers?!!
I've never seen a Takoa game but if this kid is so highly rated then I bet memorials coaches wish he would play there. Now that I think about it why would any good player go to a tiny school like that?
That's a BS premadonna attitude. The best player should wanna guard the other team's best player. And for the record I think McClure is a competitor like that!!!
Aw come on man! Those boys play hard and the community is out to support them. Add a coach that demands excellence and it is fun to watch!!! L-Town has on of the best gameday atmospheres around!!!
I'm not trying to disrespect anyone! I think these dudes are all good coaches. I just think that Lumberton and Hampshire Fannett are on the rise. If Mitchell can win year in year out with average Lumberton kids whats he gonna do with a Division 1 kid? He mentored Rideaux and now Rideaux has talent to go with his expertise.
The rankings of best players got me thinking about some of my favorite players in the past. Whatever happened to the big cat? I heard he went to that IMG Prep in Florida. Did he sign somewhere? I heard Oklahoma came to Orangefield to look at him. Any of y'all know where he went?
Brock McClure is a Division 1 basketball player. He needs to be above all others on the list that don't have Division 1 offers. There are not lots of 6'7 guards around these parts.
