I happen to work at one of those facilities so I do know first hand what all has been done to clean up the air and I also know what systems are in place to keep it clean! The air at the Reservation is no worse then the air at Nederlands stadium or Memorials or WOS. Is it worse than the air at Ausitn area Hs stadiums? Sure. but to single out the Reservation within our area is bunk!

I admit that 10+ years ago you smelled the nasty smell of money at every game, but you just don't smell it anymore!

No hope, what r u talking about? Because we didn't hire someone from O/P or WO-S. No matter where the coach comes from u still have to have players with potential or athletic ability, for your program to succeed. We(MHS) have all those things including HOPE. Let Port Arthur worry about Port Arthur, and since we have no hope tell your coach set a game or scrimmage with MHS, a we'll see if your city, school and students have any hope. > Goat, you do realize that the only people complaining about Kenny are from PA!!!!!

More jealousy I see. Man, this stuff never ends! No jealousy just a fact , its ashame it couldnt be built somewhere other than the tank farm. Not a fact! I happen to know first hand that the emissions from the local facilities are virtually non-existant. The TCEQ air quality regulations and engineered solutions to reduce emissions over the last 10 years have been incredible. Both of the facilities nearest to the stadium are under 24-7 monitoring in the parts per billion range and both have spent millions on environmental projects and procedures to reduce emissions. When was the last time you went to a game at the Res?? What school do you support?

Have any of you ever been to Odessa? Have any of you ever been to the Westlake area of Austin? ;D

Roc brought up something the other night that set in with me about this team. He noted that the home losses (except TAMU-CC) all were one maybe two missed shots from being W's. If they hit those shots at some point during the game, then LU is 8-4 (18-8 - one shot against ISU) right know and in the hunt for the overall title. That is about where we all felt this team would be! So we shouldn't be real suprised that they are 5-7.

Lamar vs. NW State Updates..LU Wins 2 In A Row!!!

Roc deserved the T. He acted like a fool stomping around on the court after an attrocious no call where they went right through our defender to get to the bucket. Our defender was set for several seconds as the NW guy came down on a fast break. The ref blew the call and Roc freaked. He needs to learn how to keep his cool and deal with it tactfully. The T on Coy was ridiculous!!! Coy was walking down to shoot the FT and clapping as he walked, The guy they called the foul on was far behind him and the only people that saw him clapping where LU players and the official. No way he was taunting. They blew that one big time! Love the play of Miles. But I will not gloat too much about beating a really bad NW team. I would seriously question McCarthy (or whatever the coaches name is) having his sons in the lineup and even taking up schollies! Not DI material. -
5500 per announcer Very nice student crowd, but many left right after the coronation. Very disappointing.

Agreed! When you have a good coach leave for "Greener Pastures???" after a very successful season, it is good to stay within to keep the continuity if possible! -
Doubt we had anyone willing to make the trip after the way we had been playing! I do know that some of the foreign students at the LU games (you locals know which ones I am refering to) have pi$$ed me off on several occassions by walking around and talking during the Anthem!

Mardi Gras will be tough to compete with this year considering the downward spiral this team is on!

next year 3 way scrimmage, Dayton, WOS, PNG

With as much change as he's instituting though.... It might be beneficial to let those that can get ahead... do the QB possibilities play baseball??? that would be a major factor IMO. Yes. I know Benoit does. Not sure about Kerr or Doty? -

Thanks. Sort of a toss up. If you can get all your kids for Spring practice then it is a big plus for a new HC making big changes to have those extra practices, but if some of your main talent and skilled position area are playing Baseball?? -

Do any of the players loose eligibility? I would think not since I know our Basketball redshirts can play in exhibitions without lossing any. -

I know that, but how many weeks can you practice in the Spring? If you get three weeks for one then it is a pretty good deal for a program with a lot of changes to be made! -

I think the need for Spring workouts is big this year because of the amount of work ahead to change the systems, but it is always difficult to conduct Spring practices with so many kids playing baseball as well. Does anyone have the rules for Spring practice versus Summer? What are the advantages of each? For instance can you get an extra week of total practice with Spring practice versus Summer? By the way on topic, I love the idea of scrimmaging those two stellar defenses and coached programs. Last time we went to Dayton for a scrimmage a brawl occurred! But we went on to the state title game later that year so it all worked out for the best. That was AD for Dayton...After Dakari! ;D -

Looking forward to LU's future with this guy running the point

I don't see Miles at this stage carrying this team next year. He wont be asked to carry this team next year. Nabors and Hall will be the go to guys next year, which probably doesn't bode well for LU, but Miles and Nuno will be the PG's. -

I like the direction of the recruits. More Four year guys. We need some continuity. From what I have read about Nuno in AAU which is where he faces the real D1 competition, he is a legit PG for tha SLC. Also the Brown kid from Chicago plays for Whitney Young which means he has played against some of the top talent in the nation. If you look at there schedule it is filled with the best programs: Oak Hill, St. Benedicts, Meiter Dei, St. Pats...You name it they have played them. So he should be battle tested before he gets here. Add those guys with Miles and Harper and it looks like a pretty good foundation. We will see.
