While I agree with part of the statement. Iron sharpens Iron and I would much rather play a tough team and face adversity a couple times in the season before waiting till the playoffs to do so. Mart plays a tough non district year after year and make deep runs year after year. Look at the top teams and you will see a tough non district 90% of the time.

No one said anything about anyone being scared. Sometimes its like you try to create an argument. Are you saying travel is the biggest reason? If you wanna be the best you have to play the best period. I'm willing to bet that when our schedule comes out we play top teams and we will have to travel for one or two games a good ways away. Funny you say no one is afraid to play Franklin but we still can't find a team to play us week 2.

i didn't say Jasper is a 3a school I said we had 3 as in 3 setx schools.

I seen a 3rd round 6a playoff team last season in person that we would have blown out

That is why I said according to the media. A lot in the region picked LRA because you can have the best players at the skill postion in the state but if you don't have good line play it won't matter. Hitchcock struggles with line play on both sides of the ball

Well we lost Gunter for week 4 due to no venue wanting to host Franklin vs Gunter.

So far Franklin has dropped Jasper, Woodville, Mexia, and Diboll from last years non district. They have added Lorena, China Spring, and Gunter so far

Our program is usually pretty good all around. Our softball is ranked #6 to start the season. Beat some 6a schools last season including a team that was ranked #20 in 6a at the time.

They are still the #1 team for a reason. They dont beat themselves. They are not as good as the last couple years but will go deep again
