Franklin vs Lorena rivalry was born in 2016. We just moved up from 3ad2 to d1 and they were a 4a school. They had some success and were a playoff team year in and out. It Started with football but then moved into other sports. Both schools would trade blows in multiple sports. Some big games against one another in the playoffs followed. Franklin has a 6-4 advantage in football. Big time games vs each other: 2023 Lorena ends Franklins 39 game winning streak in Franklin. Later that season Franklin would get revenge and take them down in the regional final. 2021 Franklin vs Lorena in what would be Champion vs Champion game seeing both won state that year in 3ad2 and 3ad1 2024 Basketball round 3 top 10 matchup Lorena would beat Franklin 45-42 with a buzzer beating shot. 2022 Softball Regional final Franklin would win the series vs Lorena 2-1 and advance to the State tournament. Franklin 2023 baseball went into the playoffs in the top 10 and #1 ranking in some polls, Only to be eliminated by Lorena in round 1. When these two programs get together sparks tend to fly.

i talked to some people from Columbus that told me after the Franklin game and scoring 62 points (player that past away #) they knew they would win state.

Remain humble.... we were finally able to break threw to the title game in 15 and win a couple. But it can go away in a blink. Woodville has always had the bad draw in d1. I'm pulling for the eagles to break all the way to the title game

I hope they don't win the coin toss because I don't want to play in San Antonio that is a 3 hour drive for us. Only an hour and half for them.

I hope that does not happen due to a strategic stand point. I hope nothing but the best for all teams in the playoffs but if we get by HItchcock I don't want Columbus getting a look at a slot t team just in case they meet up with Orangefield and beat them. Troy has already seen a Slot T in Franklin so I'm not sure what Orangefield will throw at them if they meet up that they have not already seen.

Believe it or not this has been the best season we have had in volleyball in 10 years+

They didn't lol our baseball team should be pretty good again but don't forget they will split the baseball divisions now with the two bigger schools going d1 and two smaller going d2 just like how 6a football does it. Its possible Franklin could go d2 for baseball and basketball

They would get the winner of Troy and Yoakum both are pretty good. idk about handling them easy in round two.

Hitchcock qb is done with high school sports. He has a torn ACL

Hitchcock wins with back up qb after start went out with ankle injury. Columbus rb got hit hard in 1st quarter and never returned. Columbus will struggle against good teams if the don't have him. Total injures Hitchcock qb, #2 wr, d1 lineman played with bad shoulder injury. Columbus TE, 2 oline men, and rb rigdon.

If Hitchcock has gotten better line play compared to the past couple years then they will win this game imo. That was what they were missing to be elite. But to me the QB still has to make plays with his feet because of pressure from what I have seen this year. Dline might be better but the oline is still the weak spot. Columbus 49 Hitchcock 35 is what I'm thinking but If Hitchcock oline holds up they will win this game.

Difference is we only returned 5 on offense and have to get the oline to gel. That was supposed to be yalls strength this season. We ran the ball well on them when we didn't shoot ourselves in the foot. But we shot ourselves all night long and can't do that against a team like Celina. I think we had 4 or 5 fumbles and no telling how many penalties. We have some stuff to clean up but nothing that can't be fixed.
