So it's better to put him on a Varsity sideline more than getting some playing time on JV?  Refering to a player that isn't talented enough to make the field on Varsity.

What if it's the seniors first year to play high school football and he just wanted to play, but didn't have the talent? I'm not refering to a 6'2" - 300lb kid, but what about a 5'8" - 150lb kid? I don't see a problem with it, unless it's obvious that he has too much talent to play JV.
