Good Luck to both teams left as either team will/can Represent the "Golden Traingle" well in the next Tournament. I am proud to say that the Golden Traingles boys are from MY TOWN!!!!!

If all the scores posted are right then Vidor 1 has "10-run-ruled" every time they have played. -Very Impressive.

Vidor 2 did not look like they showed up to play last night as I thought they would. Groves seemed prepared. Congratulations to Groves. As far as the Vidor 1 team, well, they looked like they usually do...Dominating. I still think Orange has a great team with a lot of ability but they seemed to be a little overwhelmed. I expect to see Vidor & Orange play again on Friday. Best of luck to all 3 teams left.

I believe both Vidor 2 & Groves have both been overlooked to some extent. I will have to go with Vidor 2 on tonight's game.

I think that TC, Orange & Vidor was getting so much (some deserved, some Not) hype that some just overlooked the Groves team. Groves definitely has a good ball club & a great program & has also shown a strong will to win. With TC out, things really are starting to take shape of who is really who & who is the "Team to Beat". After tonight there will be 1 less team & only 1 Undefeated team. If Groves 1 beats Vidor 2 then I would definitely say they were on a mission. I am not sure if that "mission" will be enough to play the Undefeated team & beat them twice, for the Crown. Anything can happen with this age group so Good Luck to all & Never give up!

Great job Groves on your win as well as Vidor 2 on yours. Way to give it your best PA! Tonights 6:00 game will send either Groves or Vidor 2 home & Tonights 8:00 game will place either Orange or Vidor 1 in the driver's seat. Any predictions ???  8)

I Never said Orange's top team will loose to Vidor's 2nd team, I just think that it will be a close game. Orange has a Great looking little team & for Vidor's second team they looked really good also. That is why I made the statement rather than putting a winner & looser for that game.

Tonights Games Predictions:

* Groves National with win over Orange American

* A very close one between Orange National & Vidor American (depending on Who shows up)

I don't know about anyone else but I saw some baseball played this weekend!!! Good Luck to all the teams left. Really good games between Orange & TC & between Vidor & Groves. After getting to see what each team brings to the table does anyone have any new or revised predictions???  :-X

I am a mother of a child that made all-stars from Groves. This is the first year that he has played allstars and the second year in baseball itself. Before the tournament on the weekend of the 21st he was so excited to finally get to be an all-star. We practiced everyday in the yard and he gave everything he had at his actual practice. Going into the tourney that weekend I saw the light in his eyes and his passion for the sport go out of him when we heard that Vidor had put their A-team as the B-team. That put a train coming down the path of my sons team. Just the thought of the A team playing his B team (yes he is smart enough to know what the difference is) upset him. He knew (as did the team and the coaches) that they were going to get beat right off of the bat. In turn I had to console him after the first loss as to why a city with so much talent would do that to other 4,5,and 6 year old kids? Why would they crush them like that? Just to win, what does that teach their kids? I am starting to agree with some other parents on this thread. I am not sure next year, if he is chosen that i am going to let him play. But ultimately it will be his choice. My son has incredible talent and i would hate for him to hate the game or quit playing because of an experience like that. On the other hand, we played TC on Sunday. It was more of a fair match up against our team. The kids were actually the size of 4,5 and 6 year olds. Again incredible talent and we had absolutely no problem with the fans. Both sides cheered for all the kids on both teams. I think Vidor is the one with the problem.

If you are not going to let him play then you should not even put him up for all-stars. If you put him up and he is selected and then you don't let him play then you have just taken a spot from another deserving kid that wants to play.

A lot of teams put their A team as the #2 team. There is only going to be 1 Winner of the tournament so it really shouldnt matter if you loose early or late. If the attitude is that the B team cant beat another town's A team then why have a B team at ALL??

CONGRADULATIONS TO THE VIDOR TEAM. YOU BOYS PLAYED REALLY WELL & WILL DO A GREAT JOB REPRESENTING THE GOLDEN TRIANGLE. WAY TO GO TC FOR FIGHTING SO HARD.

If it doesn't matter to the 5-6 yrs olds that I've been exposed to than they do a pretty good job of fakeing it!!! In regular league ball I can definetly agree with you that the majority does not care, but generally that is a differece with the ones who make the AllStar teams & the one's that don't. If AllStar teams are picked right I can promise you the kids will care about the game. On the other hand, all the bickering they are NOT for in any shape or form.  8)
