East TX...I agree...it's not fair...but it's not illegal so what are you going to do. Also, Region 3 has easily been the "weakest" region in volleyball for the past two years. It's not fair to the girls who work so hard around here to face virtually club teams in the playoffs.

So what's the record for number of post?

I went to the game last year and I had a program. I believe it was their setter, one middle, and both outside hitters.

Very good program with a very good coach. Lost a lot of players last year and it seems their district was a little weak this year. I guess we will find out tonight and tomorrow night how strong their district and Caldwell is. The reason I think their district is a little weak because even though Caldwell was undefeated, it took until the last poll on TGCA for them to be ranked. But...who knows.

The Jackson kid from Kirbyville is at Rice.

All I know is if I had a kid averaging more than 11 yards a carry, he would get the all more than 121 times. I would make sure he was getting about 20 touches a game. But maybe he is getting some touches receiving...I don't know...I haven't seen Kirbyville play. All I know is those are some pretty good numbers. How did he do against WOS?

Many thought Taylor would be easy last year and not too many people thought Splendora would beat OF. You never know. Our district is not as strong as it has been in the past...at least not with the top two teams. More well balanced, yes...as dominate no. Just look at the fact that a district MVP is going to be hard to find. No one could take a game over this year like years past.

HF in 4, but it will not be easy.

No it's not right. However, there are coaches who have degrees who coach that way. I agree that someone should not coach that way...are you also saying that the fans in the stands who don't have a degree, most of the time do not know volleyball (even though they think they do)...should shut their mouths too? I think so. I think as fans, we should be supportative...but that's not often the case.

Caldwell isn't even ranked in the top 25 on TGCA's website. The only team in Region 3 that is ranked is Tarkington and they are ranked #10. This was the latest rankings that they did on October 26th.

I know PNG and Central are in...what are the scenerios concerning the other two spots?

[/quote] Sorry if anything I have said has come across negative about any hitter. BC has very good hitters with all of them returning next year. I'm just tired of Pitcherdad going talking bad about Kosh. She's a very good setter. Sounds like a jealous parent and it's starting to make me kind of mad to be honest.

Are you aware that your setter was the outstanding setter of the district two years ago? It all begins with the passing. If you don't have good passes it makes it very hard on the setter. All the BC games I've seen the hitters were hitting the ball out of bounds if they were hitting bad...that's not the setters fault.

PNG is actually 3 of the top 8. I was in school during the '99 game and I remember that half of the dome was packed. I wonder what the #'s would have been if Stephenville would have filled their side.

I expect the same three teams in the playoffs next year, just reverse order. Just my opinion.

Same way as it was last year...that's why they flipped. Caldwell was first in Cameron Yoe's district and they beat HF last year to go to state. Yes they are undefeated in that district but I believe that district is weak. Caldwell doesn't have a great overall record. Don't get me wrong, they will be good and a team to never overlook, but any team in our local district can beat any other team in Region 3. Outside of Region 3, they are greatly overpowered. Let's hope all 3 teams have their games together and someone makes it to state!!!

HF will play Cameron Yoe

HF in 4. They are playing some good volleyball right now and beat BC and Silsbee when BC and Silsbee were on their game. OF hasn't beat a good team on the road yet...but man they are something else at home. Game is in HF so I'm sticking with HF in 4.

The athletes OF has coming through right now is simply rediculous. Combine that with a good varsity coach and they are going to be good for at least the next four years. Only going to get better. I thought they looked good last night as well, but I also thought Silsbee looked terrible.  They couldn't do anything right. Neely was the only one hitting the ball and OF was blocking almost everything she hit. Good game by OF. And thank goodnes...don't have to hear domination anymore...well at least not on volleyball.

So she doesn't play against HJ or WOS? That's suprising to me b/c I've seen her set against tougher teams. I was just wondering if it was your favorite sport. You said you had been to all the games so I just figured it's either your favorite sport or a daughter on the team. It was just a thought.
