Great game both teams. I agree with AAW or big men were the difference tonight as well as our guards helping limit the penetrations. I did see a little pushing going both ways. Some players more than others. I liked the tigers getting more of their inside game going. If our big men can play like this we, the sky is definitely the limit for the Tigers. With that said they have to have that sort of defensive effort every game because there are going to be some good teams down the road and one bad game will end the season. Good luck to the Hawks as well. One question Lazeek, Why didn't Turner start, was it disciplinary or strategic? Has either team won two in a row in the last three years?

Yes it is sad most of them never get the chance to play games in a higher level. It hurts to see their careers end that way. Silsbee lost one starter a couple of weeks ago in warm-ups. That is almost even harder to see. Although he will be back next year.

That is true. I just hope they aren't any more than minor bumps an bruises...

I have to say great post Dicky. I wish the Tigers would work the ball inside more. I also hope the defense gets back more to where it was the first game between these two. They definately need to limit the penetrations and keep the big guys out of foul trouble. It will be tough tomorrow without DC but if they can have a big game from the big guys they can pull it out.

Thank you. I do too. And I pray that both teams make it through tomorrow night healthy. I know one of ours will not be back till next year but he will be fine. Not sure the extent of the latest injury though.

Yes he played great defense tuesday. Hopefully we will have more defense like that and like we played in the first game from here on out.

This game will be tough on the Tigers missing 2 starters from the first game in all probability. They should be thinking about the playoffs and rest DC's knee, I am not sure of his status but the next games are more important than this one no matter who they are against. With this being said We can still win with big games from our big guys and the continuous good play outside. They need to stay out of foul trouble and we need to play better defense as a team to limit the penetrations.

neither team will go home with a district championship... they will both go home co champions ...hey are playing for seeding only

But we may need one of those shooters from jv for the outside game.

Maybe Jones two 6'6, 6'3,6'2 and Hill. hopefully he can spread the ball around well.

I do not doubt that. I have seen a lot this year. He is good at what he does but he needs some improvement in a couple areas as well.

Yes DC is a huge loss if he is out especially withot Lane already he is real good on the defensive end as well as being our guard with size. Starting two at 5'7 or so we really miss his 6'2. He could match up real well with the bigger guards. Our two "mighty mouse" guards can more than hold their own, but his size and speed is a great asset.

If we are without DC, it will be tough to pul it out. We can do it but it will take a great effort and keeping our big men out of foul trouble. We will have to slow down HJ's guards getting to the basket.

I second that Amen, Aggies. I know Prentice is out. DC's mom said it was the same knee he injured playing football and they were going to bone and joint tomorrow to have it checked out but that they didn't think anything was torn.

Anahuac-Kountze, and is silsbee-HJ the second and an unknown game? I thought they were deciding tomorrow if there would be game three between Silsbee and HJ?

Lazeek is right Prentice not being there hurt and then another big blow that hurt in the second quarter was losing stallworth with a knee injury. he is supposed to have it checked out tomorrow. they don't think anything i torn but this could be another tough blow to the tigers. This is no "young fella"..although I wish I was few years younger.

May not have been our best effort but in the playoffs ,the effort will be there. Even with that it was still a victory(by 23 pts I believe). Whether we will get out of the region only time will tell. But I like our chances better than any other single team. Yet it is the playoffs and everyone will be gunning for the tigers after last year. However the defense will be there just like it was in Sour Lake. virtually every shot was contested.

Why don't you ask H-J about Silsbee's half court defense?
