  2. yes 2007 was "WEAK at best" hehe just joking TWG
  3. Should be good but to be real good there will be two big starting roles to fill as well as a big one off the bench. These roles(not just positions) need to be filled in some ways by those already there but we will need some big contributions from the shhooters on the jv as well.
  4. Hill is great at going to the basket but next year we will need him to be a leader and spread the ball around. It would also be great for him to develop an outside game and not let his emotions get the best of him at times. Next year we are going to need a leader at point like Shannon has been for the last few years.. You can't replace Robinson but you can become that type of player. Pheal has great speed and hands. his game needs to mature a little like Shannon's and we should have a real good team next year.
  5. I am looking forward to seeing these two games. The start of the playoffs!! WOS-Coldspring could be a good one. Really can't wait till Friday.. Good luck to all our district rivals.
  6. PAM (-8 1/2) vs. Pasadena Dobie West Brook vs. Deer Park (-6 1/2) Crosby (-5 1/2) vs. Bmt. Central Bmt. Ozen (-9 1/2) vs. Kingwood Park Livingston (-3 1/2) vs. CE King Nederland vs. North Forest (-2 1/2) Jasper (-10 1/2) vs. Chapel Hill Hardin-Jefferson (-17 1/2) vs. Liberty WOS (-2 1/2) vs. Coldspring Anahuac (-25 1/2) vs. Yes Prep North Central Sabine Pass vs. Normangee (-5 1/2) Hull-Daisetta vs. Bremond (-7 1/2)
  7. Yes We lose those plus reserves Archer and Skinner. Point guard will be a tough position not sure Hill is the right one to distribute the ball around. The "BIG" pieces are back. Stallworth should realy be something the next couple of years. Outside shooting should be ok if the jv players can produce like they have on JV. However, none of them have the all around basketball smarts and game that Walter has and Byars shooting is going to be hard to replace. Robinson's leadership won't be replaced nor his ability to just take over on his own. Great nucleus for the future but those holes will be verytough to fill. As far as Turner as MVP, not enough offensive output to overtake Bernard or Robinson. Definate defensive MVP.
  8. I have decided to go. Will see some of ya'll there. Planning on being there early enough to see all of WOS-Coldspring and staying for the Hawk unless it gets ugly.
  9. I am thinking about going to Dayton Tuesday to see this doubleheader. Just wandering if any othe Tiger fans may go.
  10. Thats correct Nos I knew I had read something similar. I had read that most are just larger now and the smaller courts benefitted pressing teams.
  11. cowboy I read this also that most courts now are longer than the floor at HJ most are built to the college size i believe which i believe is 6 feet longer not sure of the exact length but at the time i read this i looked it up online and they showed the different sizes
  12. I believe it is the older size which is shorter helping teams like HJ that bapply full court pressure
  13. It wasn't him that said it it was me and Iwasn't trying to turn it into anything. it was A great play all I was sayin g was that it was only that A great play.
  14. wasn't a pissing contest just stating that one play is just that one play it can change momentum but other than that unless it is a game winning shot it is merely that just one shot... I have already cmplimente the hawks and wished them luck not trying to start anything..
  15. maybe so but still only 2 pts needed 13 more...
  16. yes and if we win we will play the wos coldspring winn er as they have a bye in the second round
  17. I hope so too the SMELL is already bad enough in here..... ;)
  18. Yeah yah but the question isv who will get the next one be it this year or whenever.....hehe
  19. Three years 5-5 only twice has a team won 2 in a row. It just can't get much better. Nope it is time for the Tigers o take the lead in the series... ;D ;D
  20. I think it was in HJ first but not sure may have been second.
  21. Great game both teams. I agree with AAW or big men were the difference tonight as well as our guards helping limit the penetrations. I did see a little pushing going both ways. Some players more than others. I liked the tigers getting more of their inside game going. If our big men can play like this we, the sky is definitely the limit for the Tigers. With that said they have to have that sort of defensive effort every game because there are going to be some good teams down the road and one bad game will end the season. Good luck to the Hawks as well. One question Lazeek, Why didn't Turner start, was it disciplinary or strategic? Has either team won two in a row in the last three years?
  22. Yes it is sad most of them never get the chance to play games in a higher level. It hurts to see their careers end that way. Silsbee lost one starter a couple of weeks ago in warm-ups. That is almost even harder to see. Although he will be back next year.
  23. That is true. I just hope they aren't any more than minor bumps an bruises...
  24. I have to say great post Dicky. I wish the Tigers would work the ball inside more. I also hope the defense gets back more to where it was the first game between these two. They definately need to limit the penetrations and keep the big guys out of foul trouble. It will be tough tomorrow without DC but if they can have a big game from the big guys they can pull it out.
