[/quote] We have stallworth at 6'4 and Harris at 6'1 or 6'2.  Then we have Lane and reserve Barclay at 6'2 at  guards or forwards.  Then not much as far as  height. We will match up pretty well with HJ and not too bad with Cleveland in that aspect I believe.  The question comes when we run into a team like we or Madison was last year, how will we handle that big of a difference. At that point let us Tiger fans hope that speed kills.

[/quote] Hill did develop an outside shot last year but it was a set shot.  On the move he always went to the basket.  Lane who we return and Gaines could shoot ouside on the move but Lane didn't have a real good year shooting last yer.  This year has started a little better.

Yes the Tigers are  mising that state title, and I will not say they are the best progra in the area.  However,  I do not feel that a state title makes you a better program.  Kountze, HJ and Ozen have the state titles and tradition to be listed.  Ozen only has the one state title though.  The Tigers can be put right up top with these teams just based on consistency alone as far back as I can remember.  Very few years that I can remember that they haven't been one of if not the best in the area.

Look for the Hawks to take this one by 10-15 pts.  I may have to go get my first look at the Hawks tomorrow night.  Will probably see them Thursday on my way back from Nederland as well.

I found a little info on Brewer(4A) their record is 2-6. They look like they play a lot slower than the tigers play as the most points they have scored is 54.  Averaging 42.25 points a game,  while giving up an average of 50.88.  According to the schedule on the star-telegram site all of their games have been at home so far. In all but 2 games they have only had 5 or 6 players score. Most in any game is either 7 or 8. One of those 2 was a 20 pt win the other a 25 pt loss,  so it looks like they lack depth. All I know about their playersis the leading scorer is Jalen Bridges.  It justs lists his name.  Second is Jermane Goldsmith.

Any word on whether or not we picked up a game for Tuesday?

Yeah the Tigers can beat them. Problem is they have the players to beat us too.

I wouldn't say we have the bigs.  Although DC will hang with just about anyone we have to face  down low, he is only 6'4 not small but not real big either. Our guard's  have to take care of the ball. Having Gaines back at point will help that. I am looking forward to seeing him match up with Gus this year should be exciting .At 6'2 Lane will match up well on the outside. Team speed and depth will be the Tiger's strenght this year.  I will be interested to see how the coaches use the bench this year when we get to tough games especially in district and the playoffs.  Like has been said the Tigers have the talent to get to Austin then I am not sure how they match up but play two good games and who knows.  Right now focus on getting better, then district, and the region.  I wish it was possible for Silsbee, HJ, and Cleveland to all end up in Huntsville not sure who the fourth team would be if you could pick the top 4 in the region.  That would be a great two days of bball.

Of course not. I can't wait to see some of those games. So how does Madison look Lazeek?
