This was the big one as was the game played by Lumberton’s #4. Lumberton came in and played, they wanted it more than we did tonight. They hit their shots and found virtually every rebound and loose ball. Overall the game played out like i expected except for how bad we were outplayed for those first 3 quarters. I thought it would be a tight game through 3 with the Tigers pressure creating havoc on a tired Lumberton team in the final quarter. The big surprise was a 22 point difference after 3. In no way do i want to take anything away from Lumberton or their effort tonight but it is a shame that that dreaded c word had to play a major part in this district season. It has prevented what would have been a probable seeding game that would have been quite interesting. And although it wasnt what lost the game tonight, that 2 week layoff has seemed to set the Tigers back a step or two. But like has been said many times those other teams better enjoy this season......

It’s not over yet.. but have to make some shots and put a little more pressure on them.

Not this year........you might see them in the regional semis or maybe even the regional finals......but no tournament 😭😭😭

Bridge City played a good game. I liked the way they ran their offense getting the open 3. But yes as many as they made they were surely going to at least slow down. I think the biggest part was the fact that they only played 6 or 7 players. They were tired their shots were coming up short and the Tigers presssure really started to get to them. Some good defense again tonight by Bottley!

Tigers were only missing Tre Haynes tonight. Had one other player who want seeing much action decide to focus on football.

mcCain and Adams joined an already strong team that year. The following year Bush joined them and we had a loaded team with 2 groups who could have started at many places...that group is the one that might be the deeper

I think this team is definitely deeper than tat group, with maybe the exception of that first championship team. They are right there with them though.

Heck just making predictions this year is bold!!

From what i saw in an earlier game, i would change that statement to adding the word most to it...

Logistics nightmare!! Surely they will try to pair close regions together. I can just imagine say our semifinal game with Levelland a few years ago and trying to get a good central locationabout 5 hours from either town. Then if that one is played say on a thursday.....getting to SA saturday After that one. And how many fans would even consider traveling 5 hours for a semifinal game...

I just saw where there are are rumblings of a state championship day at the alamodome this year but not a state tourney.

We were missing Haynes,Brisbane, Bottley, Miller, Harper , Baltrip and Jones. 4 who have been starters and the other 3 get a good amount of playing time. We had Harris and Gilder who are starters and then Williams who gets a good amount of playing time. Also has Weiss, Grisham and Harris the sr as far as varsity players. Thats 13 but we have had 14 or 15 players on varsity usually so i am not sure right now who i am missing.
