Ok but what has been the largest since both have been 3A?

[/quote] I remember two specific instances where Prudhomme would have blocked two shots down low but couldnt take the risk because he was playing with 4 fouls.  But those situations force you to adjust.  If most of the fouls were committed before fatigue was evident, you can also credit that to an aggressive man to man defense.  There are many instances where the aggression created a turnover but many that created a foul.  If you are going to accept the rewards of that defense you are also forced to accept its liabilities, particularly against a competent team that is not likely to fold its tent and submit.  My guess is that if you calculate the average per district game foul count for the Tigers and compare it to the average per playoff game foul count, it will be considerably larger due to the calibre of competition. [/quote] Very true,  it was all part of the game, I wasn't arguing any of that just stating that I felt our aggresiveness changed because of the fouls both on the press and down low.  We had to adjust and HJ took advantage.  I can only really recall one foul off hand that wasn't probably a result of our aggresiveness and that was  Gaines fourth.  He was caught off guard by a good steal by HJ and reacted drawing the foul.  Most if not all of the rest were the result of our aggresiveness.

Great game! [/quote] I think some may be taking this statement in the wrong way.  All I was trying to say is I think the changes and adjustments were more a result of foul trouble than fatigue.

Definitely a great playoff warm up but some coaches dont like to play a team too many times in a year.  Look at how many coaches try to stay out of tournaments with district rivals in them.

wow just went back and looked at The Tigers did a great job on the boards tonight only getting outrebounded by 2 by a much larger team.  The glaring difference in the stats was the 3's everything else was pretty even.

Definitely,  well other than that first game for the second place team...

And if any of those listed teams aren't upset by anyone not listed both HJ and Silsbee will have to face two of those listed just to get to Huntsville. 1st place would play Navasota in third round and second would face Coldspring.

Exactly La Vega won't have to be worried about until Huntsville, first you have to get there!

I believe Brookshire Royal who will probably win Sealys district will be just as bad if not worse than another matchup with Sealy.  And it would be in that second round...

Yes the Tigers have to win a tough one at WOS friday to keep that a possibility.

[/quote] Definately,  I remember your partner reference to how bad the free throws were in Silsbee.  I don't know that he ever said that it shouldn't have been close if that percentage was where it should have been but that was the idea left in my head.  Well tonight that percentage was there and even much higher than could be expected in the second half and even with all our foul trouble, we were right there with a chance to win within a minute or so left. Two fairly even teams in my eyes.

[/quote] Definitely lit the place on fire,  even saw one ref motioning to his ears and mouthing wow during the timeout.  Not so sure that the time out was called because of that or just the fact of the turnover and score with that little time remaining.  Unfortunately there was too little time for that 35-6 run that was supposed to come after it.

[/quote]That was definitely the difference.... well that, and the lack of a 82-0 3rd quarter blitz!  Silsbee got their share of turnovers, but certainly not the tidal wave they rode last time! [/quote] Foul trouble definitely prevented that all out defense.  Tight calls and too many key players in foul trouble.  We will have to adjust to those calls better and stay out of that problem in the playoffs.  Not an excuse as they were called both ways sure I saw calls I thought were missed but I saw them on both ends.

Tonight the difference overall in my eyes came down to the better free throw shooting by the  Hawks and poorer 3 pt shooting by the Tigers.  With our size, in these type of games,  we have shoot better than 3 for 18(if that was the correct numbers).
