  1. in reponse to rip, i know washburn had been talked to by the spindletop trainers a year or two ago about getting on hughes team after they watched her in a scrimmage but she was a few months too old. Other than hughes team there isnt an actual club team in this af the teams are only d iv 2 that i know of. She went to houston to play on some teams for a little while but there just isnt enough well put together teams in this area

wow, clearly you have absolutely no idea of what you are talking about.
LC-M did not make the playoffs and HF took 3rd.
    good try though..  ;)

there are girls teams in this area you know.
so yes for the girls lcm did make the playoffs and hf did come in 4th
  3. ehh.....after last nights game between hj and nederland im gonna have to lean more towards breanne martin

although they both have their strengths and weaknesses.

im just still having a hard time understanding why the goalie would run almost out to half field to kick a ball out and risk an open goal when hjs defenders were standing close by..

she was just a littleeee too cocky(i cant find a better word) for me

  4. The often disappointing Coach LP doesn't earn any points for making excuses.  And, truthfully, the FHS girls are down this year as compared to recent years.  But, they are still light years better than any other 4A team in Region 3.  In the region, the hierarchy at the 4A level is FHS, then teams like Brenham, Waco Midway and Santa Fe, and then the rest of the pre...um contenders.

Again, this is the same PNG team that lost to Texas City???  And, they are the cream of the crop in East Texas?

well nederland beat santa fe and port neches beat nederland..and i saw the nederland santa fe game...and santa fe wasnt that impressive for being ranked so high so actually im thinkin port neches has a pretty good chance of giving these teams a run for their money

  5. after everything i had heard about port neches i expected them to win.

but honestly i was a little let down i wasnt actually truely impressed by them

theyre first goal was a good goal, an amazingly placed shot right in the top corner from outside the box but with that said it was easily preventable if the team they were playing would mark up

theyre good and should get a few rounds into playoffs but i wouldnt say theyre the best offense ever in southeast texas

  6. hmm.. so if lumberon missed all 6 wide open opportunities wouldn't that qualify them in the lack of scoring ability category too?

and i didn't say lumberton had no offense...

lumberton is a good team but

i just meant that in the past couple of years that I've watched lumberton they had a well rounded offense..

they could play the long ball, pass well, dribble well, give it to the outside mids and let them cross it in

and this year all i saw was kick it long and let number 10 run onto it..

which isn't gonna win big games...

and i pick png out on top on this one

  7. uh...yeah i would have to disagree with that statement...

nederland dominated the first game against lumberton and beat them in a shoot out the second

so i wouldnt necessarily say lumberton is better....

if you take away i think number 10?the blonde one..up front lumberton basically has no offense.......

and for png...i cant say anything yet..
