1. Nederland has enough players this year to make 2 teams. But the big question in my opinion is the pitching. Replacing 2 Div 1 lefties is gonna be tough. There are several good pitchers on this team but I am not sure who the clear cut #1 and #2 are gonna be. The whole infield returns and we gotta fill a couple of outfield spots with several good prospects. Its gonna be an interesting year to say the least but now that football is over (BTW im still pissed about that) its time to oil up the gloves. Dogs win district!
 2.

Didn't mean to take any credit away from Coach Flanigan, because the Coogs did what they needed to do.  Good luck to Dominic and we wish him well at TCU.  It's kind of cool that Trev and Dom will be attending the same school next year.  It seemed like there were so many missed opportunities for the dawgs.  Every play called on offense was so predictable.  You would think there would be a better game plan.  Yet the coogs kept the dawgs off balance the whole night and were fortunate they didn't turn the ball over more.  Maybe next year there won't be so many distractions for the dawgs.  The coach probably needs a course in diversity and building cohesion instead of being so divisive.  That probably hurt the team more in the end than his coaching.  Good luck next year.  :)
Obviously you do not know what you are talking about when it comes to Nederland football.
I agree 8
 3. If we meet up again next year in bi-district. Crosby's gotta come to the Dog Pound.  ;D
 4.
Typical Nederland, squeaked in the playoffs and blew their opportunity getting out coached from a school with a whole lot less.  I guess the next thing we'll hear is it was the bands fault.  Come on Nederland band geeks, speak up I'm sure we'll hear from you with a thrillling 15 page thread on the band.  Nederland deserves much more than what we saw last night.
I would not say they had a whole lot less. Merka is a beast and their defensive line controlled our line of scrimmage all night. I am not sure what happened to them during district. I was talking to a guy from Dayton and he said that Crosby is the type of team that you never know who is gonna show up. Well, they showed up last night. Bad move IMO flipping for home and home but oh well. It is what it is. Congrats to Crosby....Good luck next week. As for my Dogs....Well we just gotta get to work this offseason. We are returning a ton of kids and have some very good looking athletes coming up.

 6.
I don't see Livingston winning this one. Tooooo much D from Dayton. However, The QB is a superb athlete and if he drops back moves around and takes off running it will be trouble. He can throw deep, but it's more of a throw it up there and see if someone can run under it. I hope your dbs don't let the receivers get behind them as I have seen this year.   I believe the QB will be overwhelmed by your front seven though. Put a spy on him and don't let him get loose.
Are you going to the game tonight cooligan?

Just curious what the opinion of some people who have actually seen them play might be.
3 headed monster, pretty smash mouth. They work to keep your offense off the field and do a pretty good job of it. They are pretty physical. With that being said, I dont think they have faced a defense like Daytons this year and it will probably be too much for them to handle. Truthfully, if Dayton does not turn the ball over they should win this game. Livingston does not put it on the ground much. They will only try to pass a few times. They like to do it out of the red zone when the defense is pulled in. Good luck to both teams.
Any chance you can go full size on that avatar.  My eyes may be failing me, but me thinks I see a three girl pillow fight.
LOL Dude... :D

If we win then I may ease over to Conroe and check out Montgomery...(see what all the fuss is about) I we lose then I am buying a couple of cases of beer and heading to colmesneil, tx to watch my deer feeder.   ;D Na, prolly head to the Butch Saturday night and watch Livingston upset the ponies.  ;)

The only times Dayton has been challenged this year they lost. Livingston is very physical and will go blow for blow with Dayton using ball control. Dayton has been clubbing baby seals and has not been challenged what so everfor the past 7 weeks. Livingston played several close games in a much tougher district and most of those games came down to the wire. They won a few of em and lost a few of em. The most talented team does not always win every game and I beleive because of Daytons week district that Livingston pulls the upset in a close one. Just sayin.
I think Dayton wins with good defense, however, Roughrider has a point.  I don't know that Dayton has faced even a decent team in several weeks.   And, Livingston is not bad. You are wrong... Just sayin.  ;D ;D

I definitely agree that he has a point.... But, Dayton has been here before. It was the same situation the past two years and Dayton prepared and rose to the challenge for the playoffs. One thing that has been the same regardless of the scores is the fact that this defense is good and has been all year. Dayton has done what you should do to weaker teams... put their foot on their throat. All we can do is play who is in front of us. Just like when Dayton moved to the Beaumont district, they elevated their game from the get go (Ozen blowout was the first game in that dist.) Dayton won't have trouble adjusting to the level of competition saturday.
That is one factor I did not list....You have one of the best head coaches in the state.
 13. Momma was always right.....Ok Dayton wins by 40  ;)

I expect that type of dominant play every week.  Hope they keep that same fire they howed last week...
They shouldnt be challenged till 3rd round....Manvel

[/glow] If you were you would know that the Dogs have started many QBs that were not seniors! One more trend you will find is that most of our QBs (Forney's the exception) have been pitchers. They have good arms and they know how to chunk the rock. If Neumann and Barrow choose to start Raines or not is their decision, but one thing is for sure, we will line up and play Friday Night.
I know this guy and he does more for the youth in Nederland getting them ready for the next step in sports than anybody I know..If Trevin does not get the start Friday he needs to have at least 15 touches for the dogs to win.. I feel like Trevin is the best threat for the dogs to win Friday..Don't mis-understand what I am saying Carson is a good QB but he has not played since the BH game 9 games ago..And this is not the time to get a QB ready for next year ...That being said Ned by 3 T.Ds ;)
Fact...Trevin will get at least 15 or more touches Fact...There are several good linebackers on the field.
