No AJ I agree with most of what you said. I think with an extra push from the athletic department, the president, and a few boosters Lamar could be a top mid major program in several sports like baseball, volleyball, basketball, football, and soccer within the next 5 to 8 years. That would be great and could get them in a larger conference which means more money. I personally just don't see the will from a lot of the areas in the athletic department. And this thread is just part of it. Where is the list of goals for LU athletics? I would really like to see it.

They say the mid majors take all the fun out of it and make people not want to watch. I couldn't disagree more though. I love Butler and the "underdog story". Even though Butler has one close to 30 games each of the past 4 seasons...

LU down 5 to 1 in the 6th Dziedzic struggled early giving up 5 runs in 3 innings but he is settled in now. We have just left too many men on base. 

They have a lot back next year lead by Green. I look for them and Nederland to be fighting it out for the district championship like this year.

This misty rain is really annoying.

Game 2 is currently in the bottom of the sixth. Lamar leads 5 to 1. Harrington looks sharp so far.

Last night it was broadcast on KLVI 560. I dunno about tonight or tomorrow.

They were both here for the Rice game. They both make occasional appearances at the Beck. Tubbs more than Simmons.

This game was all about Matison Smith, Garrett Steward, and Southeastern lack of defense. In hind sight coach G left Mati in for one too many batters. But Steward pitched great. Matison got several key ground balls for double plays. I have seen high school teams play much better defense than SELA last night. We did a great job capitalizing when we had the chance. Great win and let's go get them again tonight.

Ford still looked bad. Everyone else looked decent. Mcginnis might be turning it around. And that's just couldn't come through with RISP.

Just clocked Wayne Graham at 36 seconds from dugout to pitchers mound LMAO.

Ford gave up 3 runs in the first and Henderson gave up 1 in the second followed by a scoreless third and now Mcginnis in.

Bullpen has an era over 7.50. That's a big problem.

I think this game will be more high scoring than most people are predicting. I'm not sure Bellow has it all back yet. I know he looked good vs Central but still had a few walks and remember it was just over a week ago PNG pounded him. I just don't think against a top team in the district like Vidor he will look as good as he did vs Central. Also I think the Ned bats are really firing on all cylinders. I think they can get a few across on hester. I think defense decides the game. Vidor 4 to 3 in 9 innings my prediction.

Well getting swept this weekend their air conditioner won't randomly catch fire!

They have a good portion of the brick laid on the new athletic facility as of today. It seems to really be coming along now!
