  1. And what they don’t understand is That yates loses key players just as they come. So this goes both ways. Yates and other hisd school lose a lot of players to ft. Bend , prep schools , and private schools. A lot of the people on this site have bad understanding of what goes on in Houston and HiSD...
  2. Sounds like Sore loser talk .... I’m thinking and willing to bet in years past Hardin Jefferson has benefitted from marginal transfers ... and also the coach showed poor class last nite .. his player got a tech no reprimand , no pulling him to the side or Anything ... say what you want about yates ..win or lose they show class ..win or lose wise don’t play that .
  3. The same reason .. HJ’s starters were Still in... wise pulled his starters first
  4. It was a tough grind it out see saw type of game. We led most of the game but we knew sooner or later a run from United was going to come. North Shore is solid but United is/was the better team. The athletic demons appeared to be in effect all across the country last nite. There was a near brawl between both teams last nite , and both coaches got into it and had to apologize in front of the entire gym
  5. If that’s what u want to call it but that’s not an advantage unless we’re talking soccer ...it’s only two schools in the district (Galena Park high and north shore high ) ... n.s. is 70 percent Hispanic and 25 percent black ..Galena Park high is 94 percent hisp and 4 percent black ....majority of the blacks in the district live right by north shore high
  6. Check their feeder middle schools... NSMS and Cunningham.... their feeder program is awesome...both of them rarely lose games until they play each other with Cunningham winning most of the time ... no recruiting at least not at the high school area ... now what it does seem and look like is the middle schools have Pee wee all star teams ..: for instance during the WB game they say the gp athletic department let the little leaguers in the area and their parents get in the game free ... they do get transfers here and there ... but it mostly goes the other way with kids wanting to leaving and go to other schools... a couple of those good players on ce king last year came from north shore .. one was north shore’s starting running back at north shore before Zach became the starter... another thing that keeps them good is the refusal to build another high and middle school. They have one 6th grade campus and in the past has had three separate high school campuses.. Enrollment is almost at 5k...
  7. Respect??? Last I heard they were called the DALLAS Cowboys, and to be technical north shore isn’t in Houston’s city limits or school district. As far as the teams that are on the outskirts being labeled as Houston teams is because they beat and have to beat and play Houston teams to get to state. Houston is in the center of the region ...and also with Houston comes exposure check the aau rosters every good player within a 100 mile radius will play on a Houston aau team. There’s a reason for that.
  8. You tripping bruh bruh!!
  9. Great season yates y’all will be back and better next year ...let’s go stangs!!!
  10. Ummmh the same could be said for the yates vs silsbee game last year .. yates was up for most of the game last year with their best player being restricted. And yates played in a national tournament they beat powerhouse Christ the king out of New York. They broke a record in that tournament for points being scored. They also beat a powerhouse school out of St. Louis. And the argument for inner city public schools goes both ways. A lot of kids that are zoned to yates , Wheatley , kashmere etc.. don’t go there. A lot of the elite players that are zoned to those schools attend charter , home and private schools. That’s why those schools are now better than the public schools.
  11. Hey I was minding my business living my blessed life and enjoying this season then all of sudden my left eye started to twitch. So I decided to check this message board and low and behold I see the bayou name being brought up in a negative way ...shame on you bro!! Smh ..lol
  12. Yates will for sure. But I also think they’ll shadow #4 like they used to do josh gray from Wheatley who now plays for the Phoenix suns.
  13. Different positions but don’t think he’s as good .but 23 is about 6’7 and plays like a throwback big man on the defensive end .. he can shoot if he’s open .. # 23 does everything well ... he is super aggressive on both ends of the floor #2 is their primary scorer..he has hit over fifty a couple of times...but the last two games he hasn’t played as much ..he was in foul trouble last nite ..
  14. Oh ok didn’t know that but he’s pretty good..I watched him hit A buzzer beater last year vs Kashmere ....his dad was much taller
  15. Is that Omar Sneed who played at west brook in the 90’s son ?
  16. Number 2 Snead from HJ leaving it all on the floor he has 27
