  1. I know what you mean BHFan. Maybe this is the year we try something else. Our "O" line should be pretty good with the returners we have. The receivers we have back with Smith and Stork and Bradford running the ball hopefully we don't need the QB to make all the yards.
  2. Don't count us all the way back just yet. This team is still young. These guys have gained much game experience the last couple of years after we graduated the school in 07. I think we will still surprise a few folks if we can get the "D" line playing like the "Blue Wall" we had in the past. We need to keep the O line off of our linebackers. The secondary has some speed and athleticism. We will get a good idea where we are this Saturday.
  3. Maybe this is the year that Bradford realises what a beast he can be. The kid is amazingly strong and has pretty good speed. If he ever realises that he can run with authority and deliver blows instead of taking them he might be pretty good.
  4. I watched a few of the 7 on 7 matchups and as far as accuracy throwing the ball, McDonald had the edge. both have good arms. Mathew is a little more athletic so I guess it's about what the coaches are looking for. I hope it's not QB left, right and up the middle again.
  5. Where is the scrimmage gonna be? Last year was at Cleveland. Do they still have that hoss of a running back?
  6. Yea Sexton is a sophomore. If he has the desire, he has the talent to be the best Sexton to come through the system at BH. Kid is loaded with athletic ability.
  7. Pretty impressive numbers. How many are returning starters from last year?
  8. How about some info on this aw-some defense Dayton is gonna have. I keep reading about how good they are gonna be but haven't seen any numbers on returning starters, or size or anything like that. Not doubtin, just curious as to why everyone believes they are gonna be so good.
  9. I thought there were UIL rules that apply to student athelets moving from one school to another. Players don't have to sit out a year from playing Varsity sports anymore??? What happened to that rule? My Dad was a coach and when we moved to another school my sophmore year I wasn't eligable for Varsity. I realise that was many, many years ago but I thought there were rules in place to prevent recruiting. Not saying that is what happened I'm just curious.
  10. I guess they are waiting to see a need for larger visitor stands. I've been going to football games here since 2001 and haven't seen the ones we have full yet. PNG was complaining about the stands not being big enough before last years game but didn't fill them up.
  11. Look for McDonald to be the starter at QB for BH. Viverette is a good athlete and will still lead the defense I think. Not really anyone from the JV that will challenge either on of them. Our young defense has lots of game experience going into this year. I think we will surprise some folks. Playoffs? Maybe, but a lot better season if not. These kids are hungry and working hard this off season.
  12. for those that don't know anything about the HILL, last years team was very young and inexperienced. We graduated 33 seniors in 07 from an undefeated District championship team. The seniors of 08 were the remaining players, starters and backups from 07. I think we learned a lot and got some good game experience for our young kids. From what I've seen in the off season and the summer workout program we will be ready. Last years game means nothin for this year.
  13. Burditt will probably be #1 but after that we shall see who steps up. There's a 6"5 soph named Asbury that should help. He can really bring it but does have control problems at times.
  14. The Hill will struggle with out of district teams. Just lost to much pitching. The "Big Four" are all gone and the rest of the staff from Varsity only got to pitch a few mop up innings last year. They do have a few young arms that will be solid in the future but lack experience. May be a little better on the offensive side. The have a few good sticks in the lineup.
  15. I keep seeing phrases like " I don't have a dog in this hunt" throughout this thread. I don't get it. What we are talking about is the freedom of information act. Right?? How that is interpreted by something as important to us all as a school district, has an impact on all of us whether we are from PNG or not. Having said that. I don't understand what would be accomplished by publishing the list. Do we really believe that we the fans would have any say about who the school hires? The worst we could do would be to not vote for the board members next election and that would be a little to late.
  16. Is there any web site or media other than the news paper, where you can find out which coaches in the area may be applying for vacant positions? Is that considered private information?
  17. BH's "D" will hold there own. If the "O" gets going like I think they will BH should win a close one
