  1. I feel sorry for these young men. This is something that stays with you in a small community. Rape is a huge deal and wrong on every level. I hope all learn a lesson from this. Both sexes need to avoid situations like this all together.
  2. How big is WOS' coaching staff compared to other teams our size? I heard that we have a very large coaching staff for the size of school we are.
  3. We are still winning FOOTBALL awards, so we more reasons to stay in the football forums. ;D
  4. What's the chances of you posting the email on here?
  5. Because he is loaded and does not have anything else to do with his money. Because throwing money in the air at strip clubs have been done too much. (Makin' it Rain) Pacman Jones
  6. Was it Joe Buck who made some comments to Pete Rose a few years back at an All Star game? Oh yeah I hate Joe Buck
  7. Maybe they can or maybe they can't. Maybe they don't want to. Maybe they are at work. Either way, should the kid have to find a ride regardless of the reason a parent can't/won't pick them up? I'm all for the buses. Being 26 I can remember how many teammates that needed the buses. I know that extracurricular activities are a reward to those that make the grades and a privilege. Its also a business. Football at WOS generates money. It also allows other parts of the school to make money. For instance, cheerleaders, drill team, or student council. All of these groups sell stuff or fund-raise at games. Selling shirts and programs and food contribute to many programs. I'm all for people raising their kids and providing for them, but in this district its not always possible. This school has been going downhill for a while. This will ruin our athletic program from top to bottom, and I'll tell my kids that "I went to West Orange. It used to be the other school in town." "I loved it there, and we used to have a pretty good football team too." I remember in 7-8th grade coaches made sure that you rode the bus. Lots of guys lived close to the school and would walk there in the mornings, but during basketball season its dark at 5. They wouldn't let them walk home because its not safe for 12-14 yr. old boys to walk home.
  8. At WOS, football is never over. I'm ready to talk about how our football team is doing in the weight room. Maybe we can get KOGT to report strength training. ;D
  9. What is this basketball that you speak of?
  10. I'm going to start off the week by walking across the street to watch Kirbyville vs. The Wac. Side note: I would hate to be the Home team playing at Battlin Bear Stadium. The Home team hasn't done to good in recent games.
  11. Deer Park drinking hot chocolate. Quick question: If we make it to play Gilmer, where would we play? I just looked how far away they are.
  12. I need the link to the newspaper article that had Newton's coach speaking very freely. Thanks
  13. If you believe for a second that this area's best team isn't WOS you are just not being truthful to yourself. And I say that because of year in and year out we are always here. Now K-ville is putting together some good years of football. But when ya'll have off years, we are still doing work down here in Orange. Lumberton, yes Lumberton, is on the rise but don't think for a second that you belong in the same breath as this program. I'm not being rude. Ya'll just showed up to the party the we started a LONG time ago. I hope all of our local teams go far. There is no need to compare 2 teams that aren't even in the same classification. But do us Mustangs a favor, when your team is done playing and you want to come support SETX come cheer on the Mustangs. And don't forget to wear your school's colors so we can see ya'll. Its always nice to see other local schools supporting us in the playoffs.
  14. Well for starters WO-S has won 2 state titles & is the top all-time football winning percentage in the state of Texas. I could go on and on and on but you can find most of this in the Historical section of this board. To say that Giddings was in a down year is a gross miss-statement. Granted, not as good as the 06 team but still very talented with outstanding players such as LB Alan Dock, QB Brock Fitzhenry (tu signee), and DE Spencer Duncan. WO-S fans obviously have quite a bit of pride in the program & this is a Southeast Texas football board so maybe that is why there is a little WO-S talk going on……go figure. We are proud of our program as I’m sure y’all are as well down “their†in Coldsprings. I wouldnt say you have the all time winning percentage in the state of texas..Must you forget about your neighbor to the north...Newton Eagles..they have 3 state titles..I believe Coach Barbay and the Newton Eagles has the title of the top all time winning percentage in the state of texas!!! Sorry to have to contradict you on this one... WO-S is #1 (and the following numbers are only up through the end of 2007... our winning percentage is now well above 79% having gone 8-0-0 in 2008 so far) Newton is #86 The Top 100 All-Time Highest 15. That's right. Nice to see the old lucky Horseshoes runnin' down Newton St. The credit for that goes to Brandy Bonnin and the Student Government.
  16. Ya'll still don't want us. Its real cute on a message board, but let's get serious here.
