  1. Lamar wins 4-0. Matison Smith pitched 8.2 innings for the W.
  2. Matison Smith started today. 0-0 bottom of 6.
  3. Lamar wins game 1 3-1. Harrington gets another W.
  4. What a miserable 3200/1600 double this is going to be for those runners.
  5. I know how that goes, its very hard to turn down scholarship money. If he ends up going to a school where he walks on or gets little scholarship money, scoring points at conference or performing well usually gets you some more money.
  6. Lamar favors their distance program, which is where the bulk of their scholarships are...a sprinter may want to look at another Texas school, perhaps one with an SLC championship quality track facility, which LU does not. I think the hurdles get bumped up again when you get to college, so that might affect the times a little bit. I think with football coming back we will be getting some more 100/200 guys and field event guys. I have heard that we are getting upgrades to our track pretty soon.
  7. He isn't in high school anymore, but Drew Bean(LCM) of Lamar will be running the 5000 tomorrow night. Sammy Kosgei is also running there for us, he finished 7th at NCAA Indoor Nationals a couple of weeks ago.
  8. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content] Hope this helps. We only have 4 guys that don't run distance, so there isn't a whole lot to compare. 2 run the 400 and 2 run the hurdles. We do have a few girls though that run. The distance races were run Friday night, the 1500 was at 10:15 and I ran the 5000 at 11:15. I've never run that late, it was wierd.
  9. Eric Harrington seems to be the only consistent pitcher we have.
  10. I agree, there are a few good young runners coming up, but they just can't hang with him yet. He tried to go to a meet during spring break to race some of the better Houston guys, but the meet got canceled. I don't think he has any big races coming up until the Regional qualifier meet in the Woodlands and he will probably run the 1600 there to save his legs.
  11. Congrats Tim. Stay focused and you'll break that 10 min barrier.
  12. Tim needs to get under that 10:00 barrier. Hopefully he will finally be able to do that today.
  13. I like the idea of live updates. I know some of the bigger meets do this, maybe this area could something going for all the local meets. I also think it would be cool if somebody who had the time could get videos of all the races from the area as well. Wish I could go watch this one because it has been a good meet, but I'll be at Rice tomorrow. Good luck to everyone and hopefully there will be good weather for some fast times!
  14. I think you are allowed 2 steps on the line. If you go out of your lane into the next one or if you take 3 on the line then I think you are disqualified.
  15. Maybe it is the angle, but the guy from Willowridge looks like he is out of his lane.
  16. Oh ok thanks. I know he's won state in cc running that mile time for 3 miles and I remember him running in the low 440s last year.
  17. Does anybody know why Jason Hamilton of Big Sandy ran slow? Was he sick or has he been injured?
  18. LU within 3. 62-59. 1:30 to go.
  19. 62-56 UTA with 2:30 left. Come on LU!
