  1. I don't really have the best of memories, but wasn't it the throw that got PNG past Lumberton last year?
  2. Amen on the trash talk.....I can't wait until the Smack Attack starts again too, what is it, 8 or 9 weeks until 0 week. Now of course, I don't expect Big Ned or any other district foes to give us respect until we make the playoffs at least twice, but L-town is here with a good plan now so watch out. It's not like we've never had winning seasons, in fact the last year there were only 2 playoff teams Lumberton went 8 and 2, as usual an also ran, but I see 4th place possibly having an under .500 record. Four teams is too many, sounds like some of that liberal crap where there are no losers.....sheesh.
  3. As usual, I guess tradition wins out. Personally I'm still riding with the L-Train, they will be in the playoff mix for a few more years at least since you're now dealing with players who for the most part have been in the new Lumberton football system since they were around 7 or 8. From Pee Wee to Varsity it's all the same now.
  4. How about Dayton Lumberton PNG Nederland (at least first half of season) Waller Texas City LaMarque Stephenville Only thing about this district would be that whoever made it into the playoffs would wipe out most of the rest of the state.
  5. Fortunately, at least today they BE's article about Dayton was actually about Dayton, way to go guys, good win.
  6. Just a little word about our fan support in Lumberton. I've lived in Lumberton virtually all my life, went through school here and played in the band, one thing I can say about L-Town fans is that they've always supported their football team to the max. Even in losing seasons the Raiders had crowds comparable to their opponents, in fact the only time I worried about it, and myself considered not going to games were through the Fuller years, but that's behind us now. As to this year, it seemed the further in the season we got the bigger and the louder our support got. That really came to a head for the Nederland game, I'm sure they were cheering for their boys but Lumberton was SOOOO loud you couldn't hear them from our side, my ears were still ringing saturday morning after the game. L-Town boys we love what you did for us this year and you will ALWAYS have the support of at least this fan, but I bet I'm not the only one who feels that way. As big a hockey fan as I am (GO 'CATTERS!!!), like most everyone else in SE Texas, FOOTBALL is still king!! Go Southeast Texas and show the rest of the state that we are the best in football. GO BRONCS!!!!!!!!!
  7. Okay, first of all, where's the crow, I'm hungry. The L-Train shot itself in the foot on the first kick-off and then once Waller got the ball we found out real quick who came to play. Hats off to the L-Train boys for what they have done and as long as DaBronx keep their game tight maybe we can still brag a little by saying we actually beat last years and this years state champs. Go Broncs and represent our district and area well. As far as Waller, you guys needs to bring out your big can of Whoop-A, them boys running with the ball, and it didn't much matter who it was, fall for 5 yards when you do knock them down. L-Town finally slowed them some in last half of the 3rd quarter but there was no way to repair the damage already done. Who knows as far as rematches go, maybe if the Broncs are moved to another district the coaches will decide to have a go at it in the preseason. If that happens, don't expect the L-Train to cower from you guys.......LOL I would like to make one comment about the amount of bragging and smacking we Lumberton folks have been doing.....Do you guys remember the first time you , you probably bragged to all your buddies about it, well the first time in the playoffs is about the same, only no chance of suprise rugrats.........LMAO
  8. THE PRESIDENT DECLARES: DECEMBER 7th A DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY AGAIN!!!! THE LUMBERTON RAIDERS BOMB THE DAYTON BRONCOS OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS....
  9. The Broncos are coming? Good the Raiders have had to ride the train everywhere since they put the last Broncos away, now they'll be able to ride the horsey again....... [move]chuga chuga, chuga chuga, chuga chuga, chuga chuga, chuga chuga, [glow=red,2,300]CHOO! CHOOOOO!!!![/glow][/move] By the way, and this is by no means meant as a dis to the PNG players or fans, but it could be said that had a few officials calls gone a different way Lumberton possibly or probably could have beat the Indians, I wonder if the Dayton fans would be griping about the district crown then, district championships are decided by win/loss record only and have nothing to do with the number of points scored or first downs, etc....hence the reason that there are Tri-District Champs if you don't like sharing the crown you could call UIL and forfeit it, as for L-Town, we're happy.....
  10. I just figured it out....La Vega is just referring to the fact that they are going to beat WOS really really bad........in getting to the drive up window at Taco Bell. That sounds reasonable.
  11. Actually it's because we've had 41 years to come up with this stuff...........LOL
  12. I just love how the L-Town helmet sports a running bronco on it....it does.....look close, of course, there's a raider riding that bronco all the way to the end zone.
  13. You know bullets, it's comments like yours that burn my butt. How can you honestly say Lumberton had a "flukey win over Dayton". Get over yourself dude. First of all Lumberton held Dayton to 7 points........got it buddy I said 7 points. Yeah Dayton is powerful for sure but let me remind you one more time, [glow=red,2,300]7[/glow] points, that's why our team won. The coach took a chance on the 2 pointer and got it, that's why we beat Dayton, it was a win or lose move. There was absolutely nothing FLUKEY about that. Now, can Lumberton take Dayton down again? Good question and from the looks of it we are about to get that chance, can Dayton take Lumberton ???
  14. Don't feel bad lsu, the L-Train was left out of those picks too........choo choooooooooooo!!!
  15. I personally predict that if Lumberton gets by Dayton they will #1 make it to the State Championship game and #2 have a 50/50 chance of winning it........hmmm, is that diplomatic enough?
  16. A car or pickup truck is usually the best method to get there but if you lack there should be a train rolling in there about 4 o'clock Friday. Noe really check Mapsonus or look through the threads, there is a thread that lists all the stadiums with directions.
  17. You guys and your loud noises, me personally, I'm a very quiet individual, I never cheer louder than a whisper. Neither do my friends....................YEAH RIIIIIIIIGHT, that's why Lumberton's God Squad felt they needed to pray for me and my friends at the Central game, they thought we were getting too rowdy....LOL. LET THE HORNS LOOSE!!!!!!!
  18. Pimp Smack you obviously haven't heard........now I got this straight from the trainers mouth mind you. Those red undershirts that the boys have been wearing.........they all have a great big S in the middle of the chest!!!!!! ;D
  19. Getting back to the original thread now........I talked to the coach today and he says that he had New England scheduled but they decided it might be embarassing to lose to the L-Train............choo chooooooooo!!
  20. Aw, guys come on, ST is just upset because there weren't any tiger stripes in the playoffs this year, that and the fact that had they stepped on any field these Raiders were playing OR practicing on they would have gone back to their mommas with their tails between their legs........LOL.This IS the best Boys team to ever walk through the halls of Lumberton H.S. by far, with extra emphasis on "team".
  21. I just wonder where Waller is planning to sit, maybe they'll have a crowd like Smiley, that would leave us room.
  22. You know Calpreps is a pretty handy tool, only one problem, it can't factor in heart and determination, that's why last week it only had a 5 out of 9 prediction rate. Hook that computer up to an L-Train heart and see it explode.....lol
  23. I wonder....have there been any 50+ point blowouts in the playoffs this year? I'm pulling for Dayton one more week. Next week though, hmmmmmmmm? Dayton 56 Livingston 7
  24. By the way, the new horn should move down to the bottom of the stands on the opposite side of the L-Train Horn so that you aren't making people directly in front of you uncomfotable by hurting their ears as those truck air horns can be very loud. Other than that, I love any noise we can bring to the field and show our appreciation with. Wake 'em up and shake 'em up.
