  1. i know this off topic, but when i was in school we played west brook my freshman, sophomore, and junior year. we were 4a then. i have always had respect for the brook we lost 2 and won 1. i think in 91 and 92 west brook ran over our face. ;D of course the brook had james brown and frank middleton. in 93 we were able to squeak in a win at mustang stadium.
  2. i hear ya, check out my modification. we would definitely be the underdog against nederland and west brook.
  3. be careful now, many have said we wouldn't beat them and well....... seriously, i dont know if u can compare 5a/4a with 3a. im not sure if we could beat west brook or nederland this year. i would like to think we could but i don't know. i do however feel that wos is the best 3a/2a football team in the area. but of course my opinion is biased on this question ;D
  4. i would love to see the stangs play west brook. i know the numbers are way in west brooks favor, but i think it would be a great challege for the stangs. i seriously doubt stump would agree to play a 3a school and that's understandable. by the same token i could understand hooks not wanting to schedule a 5a school. i still would like to see it, though. to be realistic i would love to see nederland and png back on our schedule. those games always bring huge crowds, big plays and heart stopping moments.
  5. its way too early for anyone to be thinking about state. its a very, very difficult goal to accomplish. i usually begin to get an idea who's the real deal after the second round of playoffs. however this topic does make for good conversation.
  6. this should be a pretty good game. Jasper 28 Bridge City 27
  7. i think ur amusing
  8. awww come on guys, he only does that so he can see better. ;D
  9. well, they're 5-0 so that tells u they're a good football team. are they ready to make the playoffs? we'll find out friday, if they can get past a good central team, then lumberton puts themselves in a good position to make the playoffs. i still picked central to win the game against lumberton on friday. im not hatin on the raiders, i just need to see a few more quality wins against the likes of dayton, central, png or nederland before i start picking them as a favorite and not an underdog. but i will say this, lumberton has certainly proved they cannot be taken lightly.
  10. i thought west brook was in 22-5a too?
  11. awww come on, i thought u guys were best friends? jk ;D it is mid county madness week, u know.
  12. of course silsbee can win district, but will they? ............stay tuned. 8) wos vs. silsbee will be a great game.
  13. i had a great time at the game in kirbyville, not just because of the outcome, but also because of the friendly atmosphere. the folks in the consession were nice and so were the fans.
  14. the deep ball has been a little problem all year. wos has had some success with the short routes, however we have had quite a few dropped passes. hypo is a good qb and the receivers are good athletes, maybe they just need to work on their timing a little bit. imo both the qb and receivers have done an outstanding job this year. 8)
  15. this should be a pretty good game. 8) Silsbee 31 Hamshire Fannett 21
  16. good point, bullets13
  17. its going to be close. Central 28 Lumberton 26
  18. congrats on the win indians. it looks like u guys weren't playing around.
  19. wow, nederland put on a good show tonight. they might have something special going on in bulldog country. maybe we need to think twice about trying to put u guys on the schedule next year. ;D seriously, great win bulldogs, good luck the rest of the year.
  20. Hamshire Fannett getting it done!!! congrats on the win guys. 8)
  21. from a mustang point of view it was a great game. i was impressed with pierce rhodes and #32, both guys were tough runners. i was a bit surprised that kirbyville lost their composure so quickly. i sure am proud of those stangs for getting the job done. they really are the hardest working football team in the area. well, now it's time to turn our attention to the HJ Hawks. 8)
