    [/quote]What I saw on this play was a clean hit that the refs at first threw a flag because they thought in was in the end zone before Collins put his hands on him, but wave the flag off when the other ref let him know that he had his hand on him before he cross the goal. Then Collins went over and pat him on the behind to let him know he wasn't trying to hurt him, the fans started booing and he raise his hand with a V. Now I could be wrong because I was not right there, but I'm not going to believe any of you until I see the play on camera myself.

  14. Vidor at Clear Brook Game Thread/VIDOR WINS 33-14

    Just got back from the game.  WOW is the only word I can come up with.  The Oline played fantastic tonight.  Was worried after the Bridge City game but those 5 up front were moving CB all over the place tonight.  It loks like they have gelled as a unit and with the way the D played they are ready for district.  On a side note,  I didnt think 23 was going to be able to top that run last week when he was hit in the backfield and ran through him and the safety on the way to a TD,  but tonight he put a stiff arm on one of the CB players  on the way to a TD that was something.  Great job on both sides of the ball with the oline and dline.  They showed tonight what kind of a team they will be this year.

    Pirates are definatley better than last year at this point. Especially in the secondary!!

    The competition was much better last year to this point.  Bridge City lost everyone from last year and our JV team could have beat SF.  What makes you think I was refering to the secondary in my post.  Clear Brook passes as much as we do, so we will find out this week where we stand as a team.  Both offense and defense.  This year it looks like the first time we will play somebody good it will be our last preseason game.  This test will let us know how we will really do in our first game against the Dogs.  Hopefully we do well Friday but there were alot of things Exposed when we played Bridge City and I hope they can get them fixed before District.

    To think Nederland will hang 40 points on Vidor is just as crazy as [u][b]SOME[/b][/u] of the Vidor fans on these threads that think the pirates will hang 40 on the Dogs.  Its not gonna happen.  The Nederland defense is just to good and the Vidor defense is pretty good themselves.  Now I think there will be 40 points scored, but it will be like last year with the two teams punching it out to the last few seconds of the game.  It was a great game last year no matter what side of the field you were sitting on.  The only thing I hope for this years is that my Pirates come out on top this year.  Either way its going to be one heck of a start to district play.

    Man do I agree with you on this one.  Undefeated is not gonna happen, and if the Oline doesnt gel this year like last years Oline, then we are in BIG trouble.
