Good news!  It's bright and sunny out west, so unless rain comes from a different direction; things look good!  It's a beautiful day, so maybe it will soak up some of the water.
Where out west are we talking?  El Paso, San Antoinio, Brenham? The radar shows, for the moment, that it is not raining in Houston. Hopefully Kingwood tarped the infield and the rest of the field drains well.
No, I can't say I remember who pitched for PNG in either of those games.  I can say that I remember who pitched in both games for BH, And it wasn't our number 1, 2 or 3 pitcher in either game.  Just wanted to make that clear to all u injuns that think yall lost against our ace when yall didn't throw your ace.. Just face it, Yall were beaten twice by BH this year !!
BH was the better team early in the season when they played for sure. Now, if they played today it would be a toss up for sure. We'll see if they get to face each other I think in the 4th round. They both have some tough teams to play first.
You have what a lot of people call the state's best district, in your way.  17-4A had 3 teams in round 3 last year, not to mention an all 17-4A regional final.  What's scary, is 2 of those 3 teams are better this year, and the other team won 17-4A.  No easy games at this point!
Shouldn't be any easy games for anybody.
Nah, like playing a little league team.  ;D  They are 20-4A, after all.  Nothing special over there.  ;D
Not saying much for your district  If my memory serves me correct there were 8 games last week between 19 4A  and 20 4A , with 20 4A winning 5 of those
With the top 2 seeds from each district advancing. So your point is?
Big disparity between 19-4A and 20-4A overall.  19-4A's 3rd and 4th place teams were more on par with 20-4A's 5th and 6th place team's, Vidor and Ozen, so its hard to say just how good 19-4A's #1 and 2 teams are based on district results.

You have to earn your respect. The only problem was that Hamels was dumb enough to say he did it on purpose.
If Hamels doesn't respect him now then he is a fool. The boy takes it without saying a word, goes 1st-to-3rd on a hit most (not all) players would have stopped at 2nd on, then makes a heads-up play in stealing home on the pitcher.  And so far, as far as I know, hasn't said anything derogatory about Hamels concerning the matter.
Years of service earns respect. Put in your time.
Actions, or lack of reaction, is what people look for.  In this case Harper did a good job first by not reacting, and then by taking action and taking advantage of the opportunities before him. Hamels burned himself by what he did which resulted in a run and could have cost his team the game. Which player deserved the greater respect that night? Most of the better players earn respect quickly.  So far Harper is off to a good start.  Time will tell.  Even if he does a couple of goofball things this year or next I'd probably give him a break.  After all, he's not too different in age than my kids.

That should make the KIDS feel good!! Not sure why you would want to degrade the young men from Crosby. The first game could have easily went the other way. The second game LCM came out on fire and played extremely well. We should remember that these kids read these post as well. Show some respect for the kids and the game. Congrats to Crosby and LCM on a good year. Good luck in the next round.
That was not meant towards the kids TEL. I was directing that at the poster who tried to degrade LCM's win by saying something about crosby being a 3 seed. I'm sure those kids did a great job and they should be proud for making the playoffs. My apologies if i crossed the line.
Ok, thanks for clearing that up. I just don't like seeing grown up's trashing kids on here. Thanks, and good luck to LCM!
THANKS!!!  :) :) :) [By the way, correct statement that no LCM poster described the loss by Crosby as humiliating.  I personally don't agree with describing it as such because I do agree that it can be degrading to the players who are just kids.  I doubt there are many kids who have never played on a team that lost a game like that at least once or twice and I know it can make for a pretty bad day.]

I am getting old though , so anything is possible .haha
I don't think they were in 19-4A for too long.  If I remember correctly 2010 was only the 3rd or 4th year of KP's existence.  They may have been out of the district the next year (last year).
 19.
Kingwood Park wasn't in 19-4a 2 years ago , :P :P :P
[Hidden Content] Such a sad state of denial. Kingwood Park finished first that year in 19-4A and Crosby finished 2nd. LCM and Vidor finished tied for 3rd in 20-4A.  Vidor took the 3rd seed and LCM the 4th.  Nederland and PNG finished 1st and 2nd that year.  I have no memory who was 3rd and 4th for 19-4A. Vidor and Crosby played a one-game playoff matching up two great pitchers, Trae Hester of Vidor and Jeremy Gabryszwski of Crosby.  If it makes you feel better, Crosby did win that game.

Two years ago LCM as the 4th seed from 20-4A beat the 19-4A District Champs, Kingwood Park. Last year, as the 3rd seed, LCM beat the mighty Lee Ganders, whom all the pundits from 19-4A, including yourself, claimed LCM would have no chance against. You would think that there wouldn't be that much difference between the #2 seed and the #3 seed, particularly when the #3 seed is from the mighty 19-4A district. At least our 3rd seed, Livingston, made a series of it.
 21. Game only went 5 innings. Alex Blem started on the mound for the Bears and pitched 3 innings giving up 1 run on 2 hits.  He had 8 K's, 2 BB and 1 HBP James Swan pitched 1 inning striking out 2 or 3 batters. Christian Wendt pitched 1 inning striking out 2 I believe. Bears really pounded the ball tonight.
 22. James Swan, Jr., LCM.  Grand Slam vs. Crosby, 5/3/2012
 23. Congrats to BH. Good luck to all of the Nederland seniors in all of your future endeavors.
