1. Port Arthur has a summer track club, but anyone in the area can compete with the Beaumont Track Club.

Roy Washington has coached the Beaumont Track Club for the past several years and does a great job with the kids.  They compete in the Hershey Track Program, the Games of Texas, and USA Track & Field.  There is also AAU Track & Field.

Has HF won a game in any sports all year?

Softball team is tied for first in the district.

I was thinking of Men sports.

That's an amazing stat.  Coach Don Price has his work cut out.  No where to go but up.  Hopefully they will turn things around at HF.

faith - (n) 1.Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.

Are you saying that you will have faith only if they hire the person you want or that you will faithfully support whoever is hired?

I agree BHeagle, but right now the AD is expected to do everything, including team laundry, mow the field, maintain the field, mark the field, etc.  As long as he's bogged down with those things, he'll never be able to concentrate on the things he really needs to do.  In talking to numerous ADs at other schools, HF seems to require things that are usually handled by maintenance crews or other staff.

Maybe they are going to "reassign" Coach Mangan to do all of that.

Exactly how would you determine if you were the worlds toughest man and greatest athlete?  Defeat all of the MMA champions? Beat all of the olympic champions in their events? Maybe eat a can of spam with no bread or crackers? :D

A gallon of mustard and a can of spam... oh yeah!

Rob Powell is self proclaimed world's greatest athlete etc, but that is what may be needed to control those meddling HF parents. Heck there is one poster on the basketball board who is a train wreck waiting to happen in 2012(jmho). Hamshire Fannett (LaBelle and Cheek) needs Rob Powell. His website is:

Sir, I know Rob Powell.  I've watched Rob Powell.  I've trained with Rob Powell.  And, Sir, you are no Rob Powell.

Plus, Rob Powell would help the HF  band get all 1's at marching contest. :D :D :D
6. Central Tomahawks Indians 33-0

Central fan bolts from the stands to tackle a PN-G "Special" Student at the one yard line - preserving the all important shut out

In a shameful act of unsportsmanlike behavior a 4th quarter plan, orchestrated by both coaches, was spoiled by a large senior citizen bolting from the Central stands...............

7. Best touchdown celebration you've seen in HS

Thought this would be interesting....

At Plano West in 2005, i saw a reciever score on a nice little dump off, he juked some guy out and made him just look incredibly stupid. When he juked the guy, he pulled out a jock strap he had implanted in his pants and threw it on the ground by the kid. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen, he literaly got juked out of his jock strap.

Let's hear yours???

As a band nerd maybe all the trombone players that dont make all region could be laughed at in front of 5000 or 20000 peeple by the first chair - wow - that would really get you excited mr kelly football. we dont think that way. not very funny. not very interesting ether.
