Coach Hodges was a great edition to the football program in Kountze, and he did a great job motivating the players.. But what's past is past. All you can do is look forward. There are many politics in Kountze, just like any other small town. You can blame it on the kids not being motivated, you can blame it on the coaches not doing their jobs. The community wants to win. From the 2006 to 2008, there was a change in that football program that had never been seen before, and the community began to buy into it. Things took place, and the promising future that the program had was stripped away from the kids playing today. Once again, it's time to rebuild. It's time to find that missing ingredient. The time to believe is now. The best is yet to come.

Kountze hasn't had a long year in a long time...

that's no doubt the truth. I bleed the red and black myself, and without Kountze football and the guidance of my coaches, I'm not sure that I would have made it as far in life as I have... so far.. I still have a long way to go.

YOUR RIGHT...EVERYONE IN EC DEPENDS ON ONE MAN AND THAT'S THOMAS AND HE CAN DO IT ALL WHEN HES BANGED UP, BUT EC WANTS IT AND THEY'RE HURT FROM TAKIN A LOSS FROM KOUNTZE SO THEY'RE GOING TO COME WITH IT, BUT DONT THINK HARDIN WON'T...ITS GONNA BE A TOUGH AND CLOSE GAME...CANT JUDGE THIS ONE...WISH THE BEST TO BOTH TEAMS JUST BRING YOUR "A" GAMES...GO LIONS KEEP DOING YALL THANG... "WHAT IS YOUR PROFESSION?!" ...

Yep, this is pretty much going to be a battle of "who wants it more?". EC is most likely goin to have to play hurt and if they have a backup that could benefit the team more than a hurt Tramain then the coach hopefully realizes that he's going to need to take the coverboy off the field if he wants to keep the playoff hopes alive...

I really don't feel that EC will be "ready to rumble" by Friday night.. with their major leaders hurt, some guys are going to have to step up this week during practice in Winnie or the Hornets are gonna be singin songs on the way back to Hardin...

I'm only in college now, but if anyone had an incredible influence in my life it'd have to be the entire Kountze High School football coaching staff.. they believe in all of their kids, and whenever they mess up, they gripe at em not because they think they suck but it's because they know they can do better...

UPSET OF THE WEEK definately goes to the KTZ-ECC game... who saw this coming besides the hardcore Kountze fans and players... no one? oh yeah, that's what i thought.. Any given friday baby!
