I have no clue as to why we can't score in the 2nd half,My guess is we're too soft up front.Defense has been@ the bottom of dist stats going on 6 yrs.Now we have 33 srs when we did field 21(and those 21=alot played both ways)now@ halftime we show little aggression/push.Lawd I just can't remember how many yrs it's been since we sacked a qb on a regular basis.Rules are rules, shy away from team infractions w/o penalty for breaking them then you have 2012 all over again except then we were 9-0 & got dbl donkey stomped by SC/lost next week to Ned Rd#1 because the kids that put in their work=laid down.I'm a big of Bronco fan as I can be,I'll be as candid as I can=it's a paying job to change what's not working to what will suffice(be enuff). If they threaten to quit=let them, they don't want be a team of overcomers. This week Dayt has to out athelete BH=not gonna out coach them.If everybody is better than we are then so be it,we'll just start a new streak & end 1 that's lasted 20 yrs.I believe talent is there to continue the tradition,I believe we can win w/our staff,I believe we just haven't figured it all out yet.I believe it has to get fixed the next 3 games which we prolly need to win the next 2 for certain.I know we have DASBC formed/growing & providing as a support group.Bronco fans are waitin on you Broncos to be victorious,it's your decision young men,it's crunch time NOW,Go beat BH

Plenty of talent coming up.  Big hitters on the 10th grade group

That's all I'd like for these hard working young men to receive some support and credit, because they showed up every day during the summer to work out and practice and they are the ones that go up against varsity 1st D every day and varsity 1st O every day, and believe me, they are just waiting for that call, and they will be ready for those Friday night lights. But hey, next year we have a bunch of seniors leaving but you know what, that doesn't bother me and a lot of other BRONCO fans because we know what kind of group we got coming next year if not sooner if needed. So every member on here, if I offend anyone on here because of my love for Bronco Football, tough, I bleed purple, in my book there is Only two kind of people in the world, Bronco fans and want-a-be's.

    Right on

I can guarantee you that is not the case. I know this man personally and can tell you for sure that his son would make and probably start on varsity for most teams in this area. His son is a very solid player and a great member of this jv squad that has been together for years and if people knew who his son was and what he can do on the field they definitely would not say he is just trying to build up jv because his son didn't make varsity. I'm sure one day he will give away who his son is and when people finally see what he can do then they will see why he is so pumped to see his son play every week win or lose.

And just a side note his son might not be on varsity right now but I'm pretty sure we will be hearing his name on Friday nights very soon and he will shock a lot of people.

I absolutely agree with you.  I believe there are a few of those boys whos name will be mentioned on varsity in the near future.  The community is proud of both squads.  I don't have a kid on the team and I went and watched them.

I don't think anyone meant disrespect to JV teams when they questioned why a prediction thread is made for a JV game.  It is just in the normal course of business on this board that such threads are usually reserved for the varsity teams.  Is it wrong or prohibited?  Absolutely not.  I know that posting sub varsity scores have become a staple here and yes, such games are important in developing and honing varsity talent.

But that being said,  when there is a bevy of varsity action to discuss please don't take umbrage at those who raise an eyebrow to an invitation to trash talking (which I found prediction threads to encompass most often) about a JV team.

I wasn't upset at all.  Just trying to bring clarity to the tool.  Read his comments he was throwing a shot.  Now with that being said WOS looks great this year.  As a matter of fact some of that WOS bloodline is in Dayton.  He is a 6'6 10th grader.

Must be a Dayton parent trying to build up a JV game because their son didn't make varsity

With all due respect Mr. TOOL I think that's a really unfair assessment.  The Varsity for the broncos have 35 seniors.  There are 6 JV kids on the Broncos that they would get playing time on Varsity if not start on Varsity for any other programs.  Yes People in this town are proud of the JV because of the future of these kids.  I do not have a dog in the hunt but what I will tell you is that Ive watched two games and the boys love one another.  They play hard for the coaches and for each other.  They play hard and fast and they don't mind coming up and popping you.  Heck three of the 10th graders actually start on Varsity.  They have played together since 9 yrs of age.  So no sir its not because this mans son didn't make varsity he is excited.  He is excited because of whats to come

Dayton JV stays undefeated with tonight's win over Nederland 26-18. Would've like for the margin to be more but a is all that counts. Good job JV, seen some nice runs by the quarterback for 2 scores and 2 tds from the running back, way to go Nail and Pike and the rest of the Broncos.

How did the big receiver do

Breaking News  the Dayton JV AKA The Greatest Show on Turf  has been added to 21 5A as a tenth team.  5A State Title game will be replaced by Dayton Varsity vs Dayton JV.  Many billing as the Game of the Century.

Its not there yet but it will be soon.  Very creative.  It will all be settled.

Me neither. I usually just decide what fire watch/hole watch company gets to come into the facility.

Good luck to everyone Thursday and Friday.  I hope all the kids play hard and everyone stay healthy.  Good luck Crosby and congrats on your recent success.  In Dayton we expect more because we have tradition here.  Its awesome that the Crosby fans have something more to cheer about besides crawfish shack and rowdy bucks.  The years to come are going to be bad for you guys.  The JV that's coming behind this group is unbelievable.  They can air it out and the running back they are supposed to have is on varsity along with 2 offensive lineman.  4 really good receivers.  One of the receivers has really good foot work and great hands and the other is a 6'7 monster who is athletic.  a really good defense led by pike and the gang.  You clowns get ready.  see ya soon coogs

That is correct, his family moved to Mississippi for a couple years and I was glad to hear of them moving back, he is part of the group of boys that have been playing ball together since little league. And 6'7", at 15, not sure when he will stop, gonna be some good bronco ball years to come, those boys seemed to click. #22 on varsity has been the stud back with this group but now he is doing a good job on varsity. But with Pike in the backfield, you hardly have a chance to miss Santee, they really are loaded it seems, and the coach really liked to air it out it looks like, which means big plays, high scores and a tired defense, I'll be glad to see them play on a full field field for a change.

6'7  Geez he moves well for 6'7.  Hope he plays other sports.  If he keeps growing he may have to let football go

I think most of these kids have been playing together since little league, and they have the talent, from the QB to the running backs and receivers to the linebackers and D-backs, and they are having fun out there, most of all. Seen some nice offensive plays and some hard hitting on the other side of the ball. Great to be a Bronco.

I was told that the big kid isn't actually from mississippi.  He is from dayton.  He moved away and came back.  He likes to hit also.  The kids play well together.

  13. I was more impressed with the Jv and the Varsity.  its early these kids will get it together.  Got a chance to watch some quality football.  the Jv team is loaded.  Got a chance to see the tall kid from Mississippi.  They didn't throw to him much but the balls they did throw to him he made them count. The other receiver was on fire.  Defense looked really good.  Looking forward to the years to come
