  1. I can see the perks of running the wing-t offense. Whenever you go up against a team that has a high octain offense such as WOS I think the Wing-T is an advantage to beat them due to the fact you can keep that offense off the field. But its also challenging to the WOS defense to get Navarro off the field and give the ball to Jack Dallas and company to let them get to work. Looking for a good game on Friday Night at NRG. an team thats been in this situation the last three years, vs. a team that hasn't will be the edge... I'll take WOS pulling away late in this one.
  2. I see WOS allowing some scores early opening the game while they try to get used to the spread/no huddle offense that they haven't seen in a good while. I know the last 5 games for sure have been wing T offenses.
  3. Good showing for the Stangs last night. Keep on grinding it out
  4. One week at a time. WOS does a great job of taking one game at a time. Coach T will have this group of young men ready to go, and concentrated on Tarkington. I think WOS will control this game starting from Kickoff. Go Stangs Go!
  5. no way did they get exposed. Liberty played keep away. to beat a team like WOS you have to be aggressive and want to win. Liberty was just protecting there butt.
  6. The Woodlands/Beaumont West Brook 2. Galena Park North Shore/Atascocita 3. Barbers Hill/Splendora 4. Crosby/Conroe Caney Creek 5. Porter/Dayton 6. Beaumont Central/Nederland 7. Port Arthur Memorial/Lumberton 8. Vidor/Port Neches-Groves 9. Cleveland/Bridge City 10. Huffman Hargrave/Navasota 11. Little Cypress-Mauriceville/Silsbee 12. Jasper/Rusk 13. Tarkington/Shepherd 14. Hamshire-Fannett/West Orange-Stark 15. Orangefield/Liberty 16. Coldspring-Oakhurst/Kirbyville 17. Kountze/Buna 18. Woodville/Trinity 19. East Chambers/Hempstead 20. Crockett/Newton 21. Groveton/Deweyville 22. Hull-Daisetta/Evadale 23. Apple Springs/High Island 24. Beaumont Legacy/Magnolia Legacy 25. Baytown Christian/Orange Community Christian
  7. interesting match-up here. i think itll be a good game, but I also hope that LCM wins this thing. It would be a quality win for them. Silsbee has the problems of giving up the big play, IF LCM can force them to make mistakes I think LCM could leave Silsbee with a big W! LCM- 38 Silsbee- 28
  8. Dont be mad cause WOS took it to Silsbee a few weeks ago.. This is a board where everyone has there own opinions, and that is my opinions.
  9. I think we would all agree that WOS is the best team in the Golden Triangle. After a big quality win last Friday night against a very good football team. I personally think that WOS will shutout everyone in this district. I'll take WOS in a big time fashion Friday night.
  10. Pretty sure Kennedale tried to give them a confidence boost in the stats. On a video on the Max Prep website, it says that Kennedale rushed for over 600 yards. I was not at the game but I find that hard to believe. I could be wrong, but from what i understand the mustangs defense did a great job, besides the three touchdown runs.
  11. I have been to a lot of WO-S football games in my life, and there is one thing you that WO-S is great at... STOPPING THE RUN. You don't run the ball on WO-S. You cannot run the ball up the middle because you run into Mr. King (4yr. Starter). and you cant run the ball outside because then you go right into WO-S bread and Butter and thats there speed. There is not a team in the Area that can hang with WO-S. So saying that, I'll take WO-S getting the 3rd straight shutout in blowout form. WO-S- 48 BC- 0
  12. I do know a couple of the kids off WOS, and they are great kids. I do think they will keep level headed for sure, I have them repeating to win the state championship. I think you also have to like how Coach T makes his schedule. Playing a big 5A Nederland, then in a few weeks playing a big state ranked opponent. I don't think WOS will have a problem with the big head at all, but i think as a fan, that would really be the only concern. Watching WOS Friday night, you can tell those kids love playing together and have fun, and as a high school coach when you see that, it makes your job a lot easier.
  13. Due to the face that this is a rivalry game, I think LCM will play very hard especially after letting one slip away last friday night in Jasper. I just hope that WOS has a level head through out the year, and keep the goal of a state championship in mind and not get the big head, which I believe Coach T. and staff will keep them level headed throughout the year. I'll take WO-S big. But I wouldn't be surprised if LCM gave them a little punch early on. I'm interested to see how the three RB's from LCM can run the ball against that tough Chain Gang defense. WOS- 42 LCM - 7
  14. WO-S defense isn't missing a beat. Lots of speed, and some big hits by the chain gang here in there first half.
  15. I'll take the bears. I think LCM has something to prove. Think itll be a close game but I think bears pull the upset
  16. I think WOS will take care of the dogs Friday night. Its hard to pick against a team that returns 18-19 starters off a team that won a state championship. I think this game is close for the first half, then WOS takes control of the game in the second half and wins by a couple of TD's. I'll say WOS-42 Nederland-20
  17. Whats the scouting report on Jasper? I know they have McMillian, what else do the dawgs bring to town?
  18. Ready to watch this one and see the big man from Jasper!
  19. If so, Griff has had one hell of a run getting what he wants in the playoffs.
  20. This is going to be a fun series. Two quality ball clubs going at each other..
  21. I'll take LCM in this one.. These guys are playing good ball at the right time. Well done griff! Go bears
