WestOrange Track Meet Beaumont Central (4A) won the 4x100m relay with a time of 42.2, and West Orange-Stark was just a hair behind them. I would estimate the Mustangs time at 42.25 or 42.3. Jasper and Silsbee also looked fast, but they were in the mix with Port Arthur Memorial (5A), Dayton (4A), and several other good teams. West Orange-Stark, last year's State Bronze Medalists, would've won this race; but it appeared that the 1st leg stumbled just a bit.
