I don't believe the coaches are the ones who fumble, drop passes, miss blocking assignments, or run the wrong routes. Maybe they don't pass the ball too often because the QB can't throw or he has no receivers to catch the ball. Maybe, Vidor is only as good as the players on the field. Maybe. . . just maybe . . . they were taught wrong during POP warner football.

The Kountze student section (and sometimes the adult section) has been asked to "calm" down. Most of the cheering was for the home team. It's fun when the football boys are there to cheer the girls on. I would'nt want it any other way. We play better with the noise.

I didn't think Warren was a fourth quarter team due to the way they were beat by Kountze in the fourh.

Kountze over East Chambers in 3 games. Kountze Lionettes are 4-0 in district. They will be playing Hardin on October 1 to complete the first round of play. I believe Hardin will be 4-0 when they meet. This should be the deciding match for 1st place in district. They do still a second round though.

How good will Buna be this year? I remember when the Lady Cougars were the real deal.
Yeah.. well, they definately weren't the real deal last year and they graduated some seniors. so, hmm... who knows

Kountze defeated Anahuac in 4 games tonight in Kountze's gym. The score for the first game was Kountze 25-11. 2nd game Anahuac came back and beat Kountze 26-24. 3rd game Kountze pulled out ahead winning 26-24. And the fourth game kountze took home a win with 25-8. Outstanding hitters were Maegan Stanford, Kaila Johnson, and Kayla Allen. As usual Tachara McGrue did a great job as the setter.

Hampshire Fannett beat Kountze to win the YMBL Small school division.
HF came out strong and took the first game. Kountze won the second to it up. The third game HF, with their powerful hitters finished off the Kountze Lionettes to win the tournament. All tournament for Kountze was Meagan Stanford, Lauren Devers, and Kaila Johnson. I can't remember all of the other All tourneys. Please respond with the other deserving girls.

They have a heck of a coach and all returning players. with the same new coach from last year, they should dominate. Especially their district!!

i think kountze will get this one. it will be a fight as it was against tenaha, but the guys dont give up and they keep on fighting!! which you cant say about most teams!! GO GET UM LIONS!

kountze has all returning players from last year and in the second game against the hornets played them to a 4 point game. And that is with hardin hornets best. Kountze only has one senior this coming year and the rest are juniors!! they are definately the team to beat! ;D

alright.. well.. I feel like I have to defend myself. I don't remember throwing any type of fit.. but, who knows. I know that I am not the best hitter in the area. Maybe in 24 2A... but definately not in the area. There are some good hitters around the area and I'm most likely not one of them. I may be able to compete but not the best. Oh, and is there such a thing as a "perfect set"... If your talking about the coach throwing them in warmups then yeah.. those are my favorites and I can put those down. But also, just to say, I hit alot out in the hardin game that I shouldn't have, and I was very frustrated with myself. But my team came together to play well and I was very proud of them. I just hope that we continue to stay together and we could take down tatum. So, wish us luck! Way to go Lionettes!
