Fighting Llama

I think the game will come down to whether or not Center's o-line can give QB Kyle Parks time to operate. I don't expect us to stop BC (we havent stopped many teams this year). Just hope we can get a few here and there. If Kyle has time throw the ball, we can put up some points. Center has 3 good receivers, led by senior Octavius Evans. But the key all year has been having time to get the ball to them. If Center looks sharp offensively like we did against Kilgore in our regular season finale, I like our chances. If we look like we did against Henderson, well, we'll be airing up basketballs sooner than we want.

After seeing both play this season, I'll take Carthage. Funny thing is, I think the key for a silsbee victory will be getting stops on 4th down early. Just when you think you've got a stop on D, they'll line up and go for it on 4th and 5 from their own 30....and get it. That can be pretty demoralizing. I'll say Carthage 38 silsbee 31

I realize this is unlikely to happen, but IF Carthage loses this week to Chapel Hill, then Center will play Silsbee next Friday night @ 730 in Lufkin. I honestly hope this scenario happens. Silsbee is my wife's Alma Mater. That'd be a fun week of trash talk in my house, haha

After seeing the success center had against kilgore, I cant, for the life of me, figure out how yall didn't beat them the first time. IMO, yall are the best team in our district, and easily the best I've seen this year

Just know that they are VERY effective running and passing. They're big, fast, and extremely athletic...on both sides of the ball. Honestly, I don't rememember what style offense they run. They beat my roughriders so bad, it was hard to watch. I want to say it was a spread offense, but they may have had some pro-style sets as well. I saw henderson when they came to center. I saw LCM when they went to silsbee. I don't see how LCM wouldn't struggle mightily with Henderson. Just my honest opinion. Assuming my riders finish 4th, someone tell me about BC. I know they like to run the ball. What offense? Got any size up front on either side of the ball, or both?

At this point, silsbee should be thankful that Hudson can't make a layup. They've missed SEVERAL point blank shots
