Nice post. What a douche.

You're right, what a douche! Trinity Lang shouldn't try to rob somebody at gun point over their Miami Hurricanes jacket. -

T Lang gets my vote

Mine too. Oh wait. Nevermind. I thought we were talking about best criminals. -
It's Ivory Durio hands down. Probably the best player to ever play in Dayton.

Late 40's-Sterling Griffin who went to Lamar & played on the team w/Bum Phillips before transferring to Baylor w/Jr.Gajdosik from Dayton.

Sterling was the best golfer to ever come out of this area also. His son Bobby could swing the sticks also. ;) -
I'll go with Crosby to finish on top here, then Dayton, and BH in the top (3). With the loss of Cody Green, AJ Dugat, and Cameron LaCour, there are too many big shoes for Dayton to fill for them to even be close to the same caliber of team. Crosby has a proven QB and solid defense. CE King will get the last playoff spot....(4 teams in the playoffs, man I still can't agree with that).....
You're right about one thing. 4 teams in the playoffs is ridiculous.

Sorry. The ole memory isn't what it used to be, but you get my point.
WTB, 15 years ago you could have said Dayton was the worst job in SE Texas. Dayton has nice facilities, good pay for its coaches, and the support of the community and administrators because of what Coach Stewart did for that program. Dayton has had some great players the last few years, but there were some seasons under Stewart where the talent was pretty thin and they still made the playoffs. On average I don't think Dayton has been any more or less talented than they were before Stewart, just better coaching. I'll agree Dayton's current district isn't as strong as 22-4a but it's not like Dayton didn't dominate that district also.PNG1992 I respect ur post most of the time but you just went crazy for a second.
Im from Lumberton and I know its not a top flight job. Pays less than anyone in the area. Your coaches are also lowest payed so you are always losing or potentially losing coaches. Facility's are horrible and the school board and administration are not helping you out. Lumberton is still one of the smallest 4As in the state. Last time they turned in 1064 and the talent is just not very good to be honest.
PNG should be on the list but probably around #5.
Dayton should be #1 because the pay is excellent for coach and staff. They have very nice facility's and the Superintendent is fully behind the program. Dayton is loaded with players every year and play in a District that will keep them fully stocked with District Titles for years to come. Oh and Football has no equal in that school
West Brook should be 2. I know BISD pays well and West Brook is getting just about any kid they want in Beaumont so they are loaded with Talent year in and year out. Facilitys arent all that so thats why I put Dayton ahead of them.
West Orange Stark. They havent lost a district game since moving down to 3A. not sure on pay but the fact that they hold on to most of their coaches means that they most likely pay well. Talent out of the wazoo. Why the heck havent yall done more in the playoffs is the big question but I know that its a great place to coach. Facilitys arent bad ethier
Nederland. From the coaches I know there they say they love it. They get the facility s they want and they pay very well. Its just a matter of time before they get turf. Talent wise they arent always the most talented but the kids there think they are suppose to win most of the time so that always helps. and they are a bigger 4A so they have alot of kids to pick from
PNG. PNG is a very good paying place. They used to say that their was never a job opening there because people never left. They're facilitys are fantastic too. They have a good number of kids just like nederland so they have alot of kids to pick from. Talent wise they are like Nederland. Problem with the place is the fans are unrealalistic but hey they dont know football so if you can stay away from the msg boards as a coach then your ok.
In 22-4a Dayton was 11-2 (both losses by one point). Averaged 37 points a game and gave up just over 5 points a game.
Minor correction 13-1 (only loss to L-town)

Not sure, but I guess we'll see what happens when he gets an offer from UT.
-
He's attending UT"s Junior Day this weekend and in supposed to be offered. I think he'll probably commit on the spot or soon thereafter because UT's class is filling up fast.
-
StevieRay, you're forgetting about Zac Lee. He would be the most likely choice to be the starter. He's been in the program for three years now. From everything I've read, Cody Green will likely be the #2 guy now with Witt transferring. I'm not saying Cody can't beat Lee out but he's at a distinct disadvantage only having spring ball before the season starts. I would rather Cody redshirt, but with Witt gone that is unlikely. Most are saying that Spano will be the odd man out. He was just unlucky being recruited between two QB's that are better than him.
-
Bret that 40 time has not been updated 4.38 is his current 40 dash time.
That might be his hand timed 40. If he ran a legit, laser timed 40 that fast, he would be faster than all but 10 players from the 2008 NFL Combine. Jamaal Charles was the fastest person in the Big 12 last year and he ran a 4.38 at the combine.
-
If his 4.3 forty is true football speed, Austin will fight for him.
4.5 at best
-
Heard he got invited to Texas 's 2nd junior day on the 28th. Also, heard he may receive an offer on that visit as an ATH. Anybody close to the situation know whats going on and can confirm his intentions? Add Earl Hines to that list too. Can anyone confirm?
Johnson is currently on the most recent list of invites per orangebloods.com I'm not saying he won't get an offer, but My question is if he's offered as an athlete what position would he play? QB? UT has one commit already and on the verge of getting another. DB? UT is looking to take 3-4. Has two commits already and are in good shape with several others ranked much higher. WR? Also looking to take 3-4 with two already committed and another commit coming on or before the JR day as well as two out of state national top 100 type players that have been offered. I just don't see the scholly numbers working in Johnson's favor.
Hines may have a chance for an offer, but with two guys already committed at the LB position and two other offers out at the position I don't see it. Hines may have a shot at a late offer if all other options fall through.

wish he could've made 73 tackles
People really have to stop blaming Earl for the TT lose.
No. 1 - Didn't Gideon drop a gimme INT?
No. 2 - If the kickoff return team doesn't allow TT to run the ball back so far maybe the defense could have held on a little more.
No. 3 - If Earl does make the tackle, or also include the other DB who was covering Crabtree, or push Crabtree out of bounds, I think TT would have been able to kick the game winning field goal from about 20 yards out.
Earl Thomas also dropped a gift wrapped interception that hit him in the chest a few minutes before Gideon. It wasn't like the one Gideon dropped but it should have been easily caught.

look at pac gettin biblical

I guess it's official. I'm the only one on here with a job. I go to work and come home and there's almost forty pages on this thread.

saw in the paper that he will sign to play at texas a&m. prolly the best quarterback in livingston's history. anybody remember mark mosely that played kicker for the redskins from l-town.
Used to love the Redskins back then. He might have been a better kicker than AC. Did you guys ever get your basketball goals moved up to 10 ft? Not sure what made me think of that.
-
AJ Dugat makes a play when it counts and Dayton wins. Three times in the playoffs AJ has made a huge play on defense, but I think AJ does something special on offense or special teams, if they'll actually kick to him.
-
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!
IT'S GOOD IT'S GOOD IT'S GOOD!!!!
WHERE IS BRETT_REEVES...WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT US NOT KICKING A FIELD GOAL IN 3 YEARS??
We don't kick it like you did AC, but we won.

Now the PN-G faithful can contact the Everman coach and see if he would be interested. Remember, don't leave anything to chance. But don't limit yourself to just this one.
Why would you leave Everman for PNG?
-
Yes both of these teams have played outdoors but both coaches would rather not have to worry about field conditions. I wouldnt want the state championship game played on a cold wet field. First of all as a Dayton fan, AJ has more moves than a chicken on exlax. He would be slipping down on a wet field. The SS fans would want their Michael Vick like QB playing on a dry field too. I think this is the best place for the game. Reliant is too close to Dayton and Texas Stadium is too close to SS. San Antonio is a great place to see the game and then go to the riverwalk Saturday night. It will be like a mini vacation and you get to see a heckofa game.
P.S. The riverwalk is all lit up with christmas lights this time of the year. If you fellow's out there want to impress your wife or lady friend, then Sat. night on the riverwalk would be great.
Good seeing you today Goat. See you next week.
-
It's pretty crazy. That was Dayton's only fg attempt of the year. It was right down the middle. Great game.
-
What about that kid they called Goat. He was a swell athlete. He had hands like glue and was the fastest on the team.
I remember the goat. He was the best ever. He was Jerry Rice with Carl Lewis speed.

AC you just sent half of the members on here looking for their dictionary.
best running back in Dayton history
