I've got a son on the jasper team and they have nothing but respect for Crosby and know going into this game it will be tough, but plan to use it as any predistrict game should be as a prep to get ready for district opponents such as Rusk, Tatum and if we get to gilmer for the spread offenses. I admire barbay for scheduling a tough opponent like Crosby because the last few years our early schedule hasnt been the toughest. It's not what happens in week 2 but in December that really counts. So Crosby fans our players are not the ones disrepecting you I can tell you that they know your players are good athletes and they plan to be prepared and ready for a good ball game so we as fans let's hope we get our money's worth with a great ball game on the field.

Newton always see it different. Score was 3 to 3 with one jasper score coming on defense while Newton had one of their scores come against our second team defense with most of their starters still in on offense, newton has a good team but tell the truth when you put things on public forums. After newton scored two quick touchdowns our defense pretty much shut em down after that. The goal line stuff jasper was shifting people in and out so how can you really count that.

Kickland that's funny, because I bet he is still kicking himself and then maybe not. Yes, LCM was hot so who would agree to flip for home and home because LCM coach probably had a good idea the only way he has a chance to win is with home field advantage. Short field and rowdy crowd - gotta give it to him he got the best of Kickland. We will probably never know the true answer to that flip ordeal. Lots of rumors floated around about that one.

if jasper has Westbrook in 2016 they are possibly adding a second state championship banner to their 2007 state championship banner.

I would think BC would be the team to beat with a load of talent returning in this area. Silsbee tradition and Jasper should be better. The two districts play each other in the first round so it will be interesting on the seeding and who plays who.

They had to change the call twice to get it right. Needed to do that on about 2 more calls. One at second on Jasper and passed ball at home. Hope Silsbee gets better umpiring next round. Cost Jasper some key outs.

It's funny that the two coaches before the prior coach had no problems with parents or school board. Jasper has high expectations with tradition, new complex and athletes.

Attended both Jasper/Hardin Jefferson games watching McMillion pitch and HJ has definitely improved in the short season. Impressed with the kid playing CF for Jasper. Jasper is very talented in many areas. HJ showed a lot of heart and didn't quit when they got behind late. Lot of upside to this team.

Jasper has a lot of fire power throughout the lineup and mixed in with some speed on several of the players. If no injuries possible deep playoff run. Gore had an outstanding game for five. Early in the season not use to going this deep in the game. Hope Jasper doesn't overthrow their pitchers early in the season. Mcmillion threw over 200 pitches in six days and Delay came in to try and close 2 innings against Lumberton after throwing over 90 on Thursday.
