We could get beat any week but I honestly have very high hopes for this team. We are playing for a district championship at about 75%. The question is will this team get healthy, perfect execution and peak to 100% at the right time. If so, watch out. If not,as the Cubs used to say, Next Year!!!

Ok. Thanks. Jan 2010. Lots of changes since then. I agree. Although we should never forget our past (we all have parts that we'd like to forget), we can't keep holding it over each other's head. All we can control is today. After we play a very good NC team, here's to a good, clean, hard fought game vs what appears to be a solid first round match up vs Vidor. I think this week will tell us lots more about both Vidor and Crosby Good luck this week.

Agree. Will be a tough, good game.

Our QB play is important no doubt. But don't downplay the o-line, d-line, secondary, linebackers, special teams, etc. i think many are over simplifying things. Tristen Cotton was a great Cougar QB for 2 years, but he also played behind an excellent offensive line and rarely had to avoid pressure. Our O-Line is improving but Netherly does not get that kind of protection. Cotton would struggle much more behind this o line than Netherly. Not knocking this years o line. They're young and have been steadily improving. Just saying that you can't compare this year's skill players to last year's without factoring in the quality of o-line play. Pretty telling about someone's football iq when they go straight to the QB. Go Cougars. Go get that 3rd Consecutive District Championship!!! (Yes, I know it will be shared)

Their coach has done a great job. As has Porter's & Crosby's. Will be a great game.

I agree with you only if Netherly is gimpy. If Netherly can run, the ball needs to be in his hands every play. If he can't run full speed I agree with you. He's not a bad passer, but without his wheels he's without 85% of his game. With his wheels, no one on the field can stop him.

Kinda agree. If tied both are officially district champs. I just prefer to have the head to head edge.
