I say NC wins this game but I'm afraid BH's big defeat vs my Cougars is playing in to that prediction. It looks like they are playing btr fb now, but I'm still leaning to NC. Good luck to all.

Seems like BH & NC getting the most love. Porter and Crosby, not so much.

Don't get me wrong, I liked 10-0 last year but I also must admit that it's fun to have 4 teams all with a shot at the D.C. Going in to week 9. I'd like to say the Crosby Cougars come out with it but I'm really not sure. I think all 4 teams (Crosby, Porter, New Caney and Barbers Hill) could all make reasonable arguments that the district championship trophy will end up in their trophy case this year. If I don't allow you to pick your team, who would you pick? is a tough choice for me but I'll say New Caney. Who you got? (Can't pick your home team).

Congrats to Rio on his 4th consecutive win over our biggest rival who absolutely owned the Cougars before his arrival. It wasn't always pretty last night but 4 in a row baby.

I said repeatedly that any win over Dayton is a great win. That was the best of Texas HS FB.

Great game Broncos. I hope this signifies that your program is close and will be back on track. Always hope we beat you but I root for you all to come in 2nd every year.

Both of these teams deserve respect for their seasons this year. Great job by both groups of kids and their coaches. I do believe this game will be competitive but think Porter will eventually pull away for 10 point victory.

Seems fair. I'd think New Caney would be in the mix too.

No idea what you just said, but moving on. Hope the Cougars win big Friday night. After that wish the best to BH, Dayton & Crosby. I consider those three the tradition of 21-5A. But I do have to hope for only one of BH, Dayton & Splendora to get in to the playoffs because of current 5A playoff system.

Hope it hasn't come to that. If it has, it can't be a rivalry much longer. I don't like the "If Crosby wins, they were supposed to. If Dayton wins "HALLELUJAH". Is this the HWY rivalry or not? Does it mean anything or not? Don't wait to see if you win or lose to decide if it's important or not.

Always support your team. Even JV. I'd just suggest being careful about tying future varsity success to JV success. Not always the case.

Not winning is not fun.

I'm just messing with ya. Talk about JV all you want. I just hope we (Crosby) never have to.
