PN-G's Austin Stone picked up his first college win for Baylor against Ok St. on Sunday.  He came in with 2 guys on in the top of the 13th and got the last 2 outs leaving the runners stranded.  Great Job Austin!

I guess I'm going to have to head down to Corpus to watch some baseball sometime.  The teams that come out of that area are ridiculous.

It looks like Baylor has figured some things out since losing twice to Lamar.  Their 3 series sweeps were against 3 of the bottom teams in the league, so look for them to come back to the pack some. Whoever the Baylor AD is needs a HUGE raise.  He somehow has Baylor as the top athletic program in Texas and one of the top 10 in the country in all sports.

Port Neches seems to have that one big inning every game that blows it open.  They are a scrappy bunch that takes advantage of your mistakes and knows how to win close games.

UT defeated UT Pan Am by a score of 9-5 on Tuesday.  Beaumont Kelly's Landon Steinhagen was 2-3 with 2 runs scored as the DH.  The Horns have a 3 game series vs California this weekend at Round Rock.

The Ags beat Houston Baptist 7-2 to improve to 20-5 on the season.  3 game conference series at home vs. Missouri this weekend

Hope Magic knows what he is doing paying that much.  According to all of the other bidders, the value was around $1.1-$1.2 bil.  Seems like Magic's group WAY overpaid. George Steinbrenner bought the Yankees for $8.8 million in 1973. Arte Moreno bought the Angels for $180 mil in 2003 and has done a great job making them La's team. I'm just not sure how paying $2bil makes business sense.

Baylor needs to get RG3 out of the stands if they want to have a shot in this one.

Tiger is in the lead.  Chris Stroud is currently tied for 5th only 5 shots back of the lead.  Stroud is having a great year so far.  Hopefully he can keep it up.

Kentucky on a huge 16-0 run.  They are the most complete team in the tourney IMO 21-10 Kentucky

Mar. 30 - Port Neches-Groves, 7:00 p.m.* Mar. 31 - at Livingston, TBA* Apr. 3 - Nederland, 7:00 p.m.* LC-M definately got the shaft out of everyone this week with the schedule.  They have to play the other 3 best teams in district in 5 days.  All of the other schools have Central in there somewhere, so they can rest pitchers and save arms.  We will find out soon if LCM has enough arms to stay on top of the district standings. 

Baylor and Kentucky are getting after it for a trip to the Final Four.  These are 2 very athletic teams.  This should be a good one.  If Kentucky wins, I win my bracket.  Go Wildcats!!

K-State won the first game 5-2.  No sweep this year.
