Waco La Vega can't be the best in the state because WOS beat them last week. Giddings was the #1 team in the STATE. Shouldn't that say something for WOS??

I was trying to see what everyone thought and get a few opinions. I too am a closet fan of OF and thought they played their hearts out last night.

If you were at the OF/WOS game, did you see halftime? WOS was still performing, and there was still halftime minutes on the clock, and OF football players came running out of their helmet. It looked like the band was playing too. I thought that was pretty low. WOS had the junior high band as guests and this happened! I just did not think it was right.

Oh my.....Let me make sure I understand your logic, So if youve never tested positive for drugs(like barry hasnt) we should assume that youre a drug user and not clean? That is by far the most ridiculous comment on any post in the history of this wbsite. If you test negative then it means at the time youre clean, PERIOD!!!!! When you mention Ruth keep in mind theres been alot of things change over the years when it comes to baseball. Ruth was never allowed to bat against black pitchers, so he holds the affirmative action homerun record. The mound is higher these days, different balls,different stadiums,etc,etc. The comparison between now and then is hard to make. Ty Cobb sharpened his spikes so that when he would steal a base he would go into the fielder spikes high so they wouldnt tag him.... Should we put an * by his stats? This discussion could go on for a long time with MANY different players and MANY different ways of cheating.

Come to think about it... LCM does not worry about new shirts because they are still wearing the "HIT LIST" shirts from the 90's!! ;D

I thought you all would like to see this. I was a little shocked to see the WOS High School score!!!! Coop... if there is a spot to put this, please move it!! Thanks The Texas Education Agency released its Accountability Ratings for 2006-2007 and the Orangefield Independent School District was the only district in the county to receive a Recognized rating. OF Elementary and Junior High also received Recognized ratings while the high school was Acceptable. The Little Cypress-Mauriceville ISD received an Acceptable rating along with Mauriceville Elem., LCJH, and LCM HS. LCE was the only campus in the county to receive an Exemplary rating, while LCI and MMS were Recognized. WOCCISD received an Acceptable rating but the high school received the only Unacceptable rating in the county. Anderson, Oates, and WOMS were Acceptable. The Bridge City ISD and all of their campuses received Acceptable ratings. Vidor ISD along with the junior high and high school were Acceptable while Pine Forest, Oak Forest, Vidor Elem., and VMS were Recognized. From top to bottom the schools are ranked as Exemplary, Recognized, Acceptable, and Unacceptable.
