there are some great baseball teams in this district with the four headed monster in Jasper, Silsbee, H-J, and Bidge City. and Hamshire Fannett is lookin strong too. take your picks

Ryan Hargrove has been the suprise player for the Tigers thus far. He had a rough season last year but worked really hard over the summer. He's playing better baseball than anyone in this district, that may be biased, but i call 'em how i see 'em. He's batting .560 and no errors. Blake Moss has also been a key player in the Tigers success so far, but that comes with no suprise at all.

They beat central 15-1, then they beat lumberton 5 to 4 very good game, Moss and Hargrove both are steping up with there bats, hargrove won the game with a walk off double to score chase kelly. then silsbee beat tyler christan academy 10 to 0, both Moss and Hargrove batted 1000. Moss was 3-3 with a double, then Hargrove 4-4 with a double and Homerun. Both moss and Hargrove had a HR in this Tournement

silsbee is on fire at the moment and headin into district play with a full head of steam and a big plate of confidence

silsbee has the talent its just not coming out right now for some reason.

Silsbee returns six starters and twelve letterman all together.

With Bird behind the plate, McDonald, Wolcott, and Skinner on the mound, the glove of Moss, Kelly, and Wolcott in the infield, the quick speed of Hargrove, DeRossette, McDonald in the outfield, mixed with the good bats of all the starters, the SHS baseball team looks more solid than ever before.

If your going to be the best... you have to beat the best at some point and time. What I have seen over the years is that teams that come from very strong districts have a much better playoff run. They are used to playing good teams, focusing on what they do, and know how to come through in the clutch. If you are on autopilot through your district, it may be tougher to flip that switch when you have to kick it up a knotch. I have no doubt that Jasper will do just fine in their new district next year.

well i tell you what, jasper played one of the toughest districts in the state last year and cruised through playoffs and dominated the state game, im not real sure how you can get much tougher than 21-3a

well HF has 8 returning starters and 14 returning lettermen so you do the math

well that means you guys have two more than us... the games were split last year so we'll see what happens this year

hf is by far not the est team, and neither is bc. bc is a smarter more logical answer but once again by far one of the best.

You're right, it is early.  HJ has the better team, but Silsbee will play this game harder than probably any other game all year.  I'm going to say HJ by 6, but i won't be shocked if Silsbee pulls the mini-upset.

silsbee stuck with 'em and wasplaying a better game than HJ through the second and third but HJ knows how to finish a game and silsbee, i dont think, has quite learned how to do that yet

i would enjoy watching hj play ozen and stay within 10 pts

theres no reason for one of the 21-3a teams not to win the title again

this district is too strong

well i don tno about hj but they always bring their a- game so im not counting them out because everyone knows anything can happen in any sport, especially baseball and basketball.

jasper, as much as i hate to say it, has the edge strictly because of their pitcher and they won state last year
