Great game Silsbee. Y'all will make some noise in the playoffs. Hopefully give Carthage all they can handle. Good luck to y'all! Side note, I heard Thomas got hurt? Didn't hear if he was ok. At the Deweyville in Hull Daisetta so the broadcast was a little scketchy out here.

I'm looking forward to Carthage, both QB's played baseball together back in the day, much respect for each other.

    Hmm who is that??

Paxton Bryan, went up for the catch and looked like he was hit head to head! We all gasped and wondered why no flag. He went down, and was taken off the field by stretcher in an ambulance to the hospital before the half. Blood was coming out of his ear, couldn't barely walk, couldn't see... But you don't hear anything about that hit? Wonder why? Paxton is a senior, also has a concussion, and will be out and not sure if he will return.

The taunt was done after a big hit that knocked a silsbee player out of the game. He was taken out by ambulance. That's why it's being compared.

I have photos of a Jasper player standing over our injured player laying face down and literally stepping over his head to walk off. He did suffer a concussion and is out for the season.

Didn't degrade a player.  Just pointing out something since the other poster suggested Lowe being QB.  I think you read too much into it...

But I do agree.  All need some work...

I Apologize, didn't mean to insinuate that you degraded any of the players. But after the first game, posters suggesting alternate QB's and saying, "who can actually throw the ball," lit me up a little.....and yes, I'm sure I did read too much into it.

Fyi, Kalon used to be a QB in Pee Wee football....

FYI so was Collins! And guess what, he CHOSE to play B team QB in jr high bc he simply wanted to play,   was Freshman QB alternating possessions with Mason Murray, has been back up QB since sophomore year. I won't degrade any players as I know and love them all! They all need to work, on offense, defense, penalties, and running routes etc! So what's your point?

I would put Lowe at qb. He actually can throw pretty well but his legs would be a good threat.

You saying Collins can't throw? And btw...  Lowe would have been killed with all sacks last night!

Everyone needs turf. If anyone can give me a good reason not to have it I'd like to hear it

Turf = more ACL injuries.... not saying the past conditions of our field have been good, but hopefully what has been done this summer will help. I am not upset at all about NOT having a turf field for football, baseball, or soccer.

I've been watching fans acting like idiots for most of the years that I have been involved with high school sports. A couple of weeks ago at the second Silsbee versus Bridge City game I witnessed one of the most unlikely events that I have seen. Two Bridge City guys (both young men in high school or a few years out of it). They located themselves in the middle of the Silsbee fans and bad mouthed the officials the whole game. .

When the game was over they were still at it.  Silsbee fans were yelling at them their team won  and they needed to just leave. Then the oddest thing happened. One of the officials came over to the Stands and started arguing with them. I could not figure out what they were trying to prove or what the official thought he was doing.

The two BC fans you are referring to were still arguing with the ump about the fair call, of the triple. One of the guys also claimed to be an umpire himself.

  9. LMAO....reading through this thread! ....some of the comments from a few BC fans are ridiculously sad, but not surprising! They just make me more proud to be a Silsbee Tiger! I moved my kids from BCISD in 2008 to Silsbee....One of the best damn decisions I have ever made! No Regrets!

Congrats to the Cardinals, and best of luck moving forward in the next round. See ya next year!

Flash no flash doesn't matter JD dominated the game working ahead in counts .. he looked sharp and in control .... Yes the error sucks tough way to go ... but 2 hits you don't really deserve to win the game anyway ... I'm very proud of the tigers and extremely proud of Trevis for competing... He wears the losses on his shoulders ... but no doubts these Tigers will be back with claws out ....

    congrats WOS

You are absolutely right, the flash didn't affect the outcome of this game. However, my point is made.  As stated above, Dallas stopped and said something bc the flash was bothering him, and it was coming from our stands, so they were asked to stop. Well.....then it also shouldn't have been coming from their dugout  way after the announcement, and obviously by someone who knows better. Now I promise I will drop it!  Again, congrats to Dallas on the win!

    And?

In baseball, like any other sport, avoiding mental and physical mistakes is important and the team that doesn't make those mistakes usually ends up being the better team in the contest, which is governed by the score.

Had they covered 2nd, would Silsbee have won?  Maybe.  The fact is that they didn't and Mustangs, as the better teams usually do, capitalized on it and on April 7th West Orange-Stark was the better team as shown by the 6-5 score.

Will that be the case on April 25th?  Ask me about 9:30 and I'll have a little better answer for you on that.

Lol, like I said... You won fair and square....

Lol!!! You have cried the most since the last time y'all lost. Give me a break! Anyways, great job Tigers, we all knew it would be a tough game. Maybe we will see you in the playoffs. Oh, and we will make sure we don't have our "camera flashes" pointed at you. Give me a break.

Seriously, there is a reason they asked the person to turn of the flash! If you were there I'm sure you heard it. It's a curtesy to the players. No crying here about that game. It was a great pitchers duel! Hats off to both Sundgren and Dallas. And I hope we do see y'all in the playoffs, I would be sure to bring my big daddy flash just for you, but I have more respect than that. And as far as our side doing it, I will apologize for their ignorance. However y'all continued through our last at bat. Game over congrats, hope to see ya again soon.

Who had to feel they should have won? The Silsbee fans? WOS won that game fair and square,  don't start all that "should have won" doo doo. Lol!!

Obviously WOS won fair and square, who is arguing against that? Silsbee was ahead in the last inning.....had we covered second base, it would have been 3rd out, game over!
