1. Ed Wade is officially out. Brad Mills future is in jeopardy.. Terry Francona?  :)
 2.

I've got my money on Tech. :)
wish we woulda hooked up on a bet..Tech---aint all that
Haha I go to Tech, so I was pulling for them. I honestly had no idea LU was that good this year.
 3.
Cards will take this one.
Tech is deep, with an outstanding point guard and big men down low. It'll be a good match-up of two teams picked to win their conference.
 4. Just got a little better. Signed Joe Nathan to a 2 year deal, and are officially moving Feliz into the rotation next year. Houston must be thrilled. ;)
 5. With them losing the "Big 3" last season, this team is going to go as far as J Brown and his leadership carries them. Total rebuilding year in ATX.
 6.
I thought Oral Roberts was a great addition but I'm not a fan of HBU. Their basketball arena is only a little bigger than the current setup at McDonald Gym seating 1,000......yes only 1,000. And no lights at the baseball field. ZERO fan support. I think Abilene Christian would be a good fit. The basketball arena  isn't huge (4,000) but it's nicer than a lot of the SLC schools already. Baseball seats 1,000 and has LIGHTS! Football plays at Shotwell Stadium. If you go the route of adding an Oklahoma school maybe Central Oklahoma????? And I have no clue who to add from Arkansas. Arkansas Tech or Henderson State???? Enrollments Central Oklahoma (17,101) Arkansas Tech (10,464) Abilene Christian (4,558) Henderson State (3,584) Oral Roberts (3,200).....Hoops and baseball history give them a pass. Houston Baptist (2,200)........seriously SLC?
Abilene is the only one that makes sense to me. They have the facilities above the others plus money to pay for travel.
 7.
I hate it; it was extortion.  First Selig questioned the potentila ownership of Jim Crain and didn't want to approve him due to his questionable business practices.  Several months later, and at the time that the new CBA was to be finalized, Selig changed his mind and approved Crain but only if he agreed to the move.  Then they had to pay Crain $70 million to move.  I can't stand DH baseball but regardless, they way this was handled was purely underhanded and sneaky. Additionally, there is a reason why no other NL team would move to the AL, because AL teams cost more to operate due to the average $8 million DH. I would like to know only one thing.  If the Cubs or Cardinals had been up for sale, instead of the Astros, would MLB even attempt to move one of these teams to the AL.  Hell NO.
What do both of those teams have that Houston isn't close to having?
 8. Guys, they weren't gonna let him own the team if he didn't agree to it. It's pretty simple why it happened lol. We don't have to like it, but in the end we may love Crane. After all, Uncle Drayton is the one who raised tickets and concessions prices, cut the team payroll in half, and sent the Astros into their demise. Who's mad about him being gone? If moving to the AL is what it will take for them to be good again, lets do it.

They did need a little more pitching huh.
No doubt.....The rich get richer.  ;D
I don't think Pap will do that well. He hasn't been the same dominant guy the last couple of years. His velo has dropped, and so went his dominance.
 10.

I like it
I don't like that they are moving to the AL. Will be more late night starts for them now. Wonder why Bud Selig didn't offer to send his own team, Brewers, back to the AL where they once were?
It's simple. This was too easy for him. He has his team, the Brewers, who are excelling in that division... He doesn't want to move them. He has the Astros, bottom-feeders, who are trying to change owners. For a team to be bought by a new owner, every other owner along with the commish have to approve of the purchase. So, knowing this, Selig says, "If you want to buy this team bad enough, you have to move to the AL." Again, too easy. That's why they didn't approve of this purchase 3 months ago, because it took convincing. So, why move his team when he can low ball another to do it for him?
 11.
What basketball team?  8)
haha I was just saying.. We're in the West, so baseball would be too if they moved there.
 12. Isn't the basketball team in the Western Conference?
 13. We see why they didn't want Lidge.. lol. Not huge on Papelbon either anymore.
 14.
if they move to AL West ticket sales will go up WATCH
Well yeah, season ticket holders are going to go crazy because it's new teams to watch.
 15. Don't worry, ole Ray will bench him the first chance he gets again.
 16.
Give Oswalt another trackter and ask him to come back!
He's got a pretty bad back... It'd have to be for cheap.
 17.
Did i hear it right that they are realligning divisions? where's houston gonna be?
They're trying to send Hou to the AL West with the Rangers, Angels, Mariners, and A's.
 18.

In hindsight, always 20/20, trading Roy O when we did was a great move. He hasn't been nearly the Roy O he was for the Stros.
What did the astros get for oswalt?  I'm not an astros fan so I don't keep up with their trades.
They made away pretty well for Roy O, even though no one sees it now. They got Happ who will be a good starter in the future, not a number 1, but a 3 or 4. Doesn't sound like much but every staff needs a 3 or 4. And their shortstop of the future, 20 yr old Jonathon Villar. He'll be in AA next year. I'd say he's the Opening Day SS in 2013. They also got another outfielder which they sent to Toronto for Brett Wallace.
 19.
Heard the Crane guy is ok with the move now as long as there is compensation from MLB. I know I don't want them to switch AL is much tougher League. Not sure what kind of compensation Crane is looking for??? Maybe #1 draft pick for next 10 years?
There is also improved chances at the playoffs. 6 in the NL Central, there would be 5 in the AL West.
 20. In hindsight, always 20/20, trading Roy O when we did was a great move. He hasn't been nearly the Roy O he was for the Stros.
 21.

90 losses next year...Playoffs in 2013.
I just can't see playoffs that soon.  Their division, if they stay in the NL Central, has the cardinals and the brewers in it.  Not to mention the pirates and CUBS which are equally as bad but still competition.  If they move to the AL West, like they are rumored to be, they will finish behind the RANGERS and the angels for sure.  I don't think the astros can think about the playoffs until 2015 at the earliest.
They'll be in the AL West by then. If they want the ownership switched, the league won't approve it without the move.
 22. 90 losses next year...Playoffs in 2013.
