#7 should be starting at quarterback. He doesn't run backwards when pressured, he runs the ball when he is supposed to, throws the ball with more zip on it, and above all is a TEAM player. If he starts against New Caney, we get the win. If not, it's a toss up, literally.
Let's talk about the first Vidor/BH game. Game was at Vidor. Vidor has same coach as always. Vidor runs same offense as always. BH, away game, new coach, new offense. All advantages went to Vidor and they lost 40-6. Now you say Vidor by 17. A 51 point swing ? That makes me throw my V's up too. I'm just not using the same fingers as y'all.
If Crosby's quarterback does not ever run the ball they will lose to New Caney. Every time we went empty backfield (obvious pass), Splendora dropped ALL 11 players in coverage. 30 yards of daylight and we just throw it up for grabs. Put the Sophmore in !
I agree with all of this. I think Netherly needs to move back to receiver and leave the sophomore at quarterback. I personally think he throws better and runs the read/option better. Plus, Netherly seems to play receiver with a lot more confidence than at quarterback. The two drives the sophomore led them on both ended in touchdowns. Just my opinion though.
Wasn't going to be hard for him to get a lot of yards. We tried to cover him like the Porter receiver that kept burning us. I guess we didn't learn our lesson.
I don't think anything is set in stone yet, but if Porter and New Caney go to the playoffs they will go D1 and others will be D2. I think Humble, Splendora, and Dayton are still not entirely eliminated.
