Now that I have seen both WOS and Silsbee play, I think everyone else will be playing for third. But in all fairness, I have not seen the other teams play. ???

I don't think there was a "problem". Jasper had an advantage over WOS going in, and that was having two weeks to prepare. This time around, that advantage switched to Silsbee, and Silsbee almost pulled it off. Some folks made some crazy predictions, but I was not one of the crazies. The game ended just like a Jasper/Silsbee game should. In doubt to the very end. I am delighted that Silbee gave Jasper a good game. The Dogs perhaps needed a little wake-up call of their own that no one is going to just roll over and give them the game. Now on to district. Both teams will have their hands full. For sure Jasper does with the defending state champion in their district. Jasper will have to play just about perfect football just to make the playoffs out of 18-3a. As for the silver platter, when we get it, we keep it! ;D

That surely would be in Jasper's favor with that grind it out offense.

This was one of the most suspenseful games I have seen! Either team could score from anywhere.

I have seen only two games this year. Jasper vs. WOS, and Jasper vs. Silsbee. If the WOS team I saw shows up, and the Silsbee team I saw last night shows up, I think Silsbee will take it by at least a TD. We hear a lot about "athletes", but for sure the Silsbee QB and their apparent main receiver fit that description. Time after time, Johnson would pull off a miracle throw on third and fourth downs while in the grasp. Jasper simply did not have an answer most of the time for their receiver who came down with seemingly everything thrown his way in spite of double coverage. Good luck to both teams!

Jasper lost the stat war, but won the game. Throw in the special team yards and it might be closer for Jasper.

Diboll actually beat Silsbee apparently with far greater ease than did Jasper. Diboll also apparently played 4a Nacogdoches pretty close last night. I think it is prudent to keep the forecasts close. Diboll could still pull a surprise. Jasper by four.

Then again, sometimes the best team DOES win. According to Massey, Jasper is playing the #1, toughest schedule of any 3a team in Texas and they are now 4-1. That is enough to suggest to me that the Dogs may be relying on more than just luck.

Jasper did play 4a ball for 42 years with barely more kids than they have now.

Folks east of trinity probably have no clue that their is a kingwood park because they haven't been around very long. But yeah BH doesn't want any of kingwood that is for sure. I remember that Jasper played Kingwood back in 1986. Whipped em too in spite of the fact that Kingwood made the 5a playoffs later that year.

Throw out the records. That stuff counts for nothing. Jasper by one in another slobberknocker.

I'll bet it wont be that close : It will be closer. Jasper will grind it out in the Triple I. It is not intended to run up the score, it is intended to kill the clock and win the game. well i was wrong. the Jasper D scored several points, as did the second team. HF reportedly had about 11 players in civies on the sideline. hard to compete with that many injuries.

It is over with now. HF was doing the best they could do. They have had a tough year in so many ways. Apparently KJAS pulled the story. In the spirit of good sportsmanship we should let it die also.
