  1. Texas Prospects Black win second game today 8-4. They outlasted the Elite team that beat them in pool play earlier in the week. Justin Copeland hits his third home run of the tournament, and Ty Parker goes 2/4. Game tomorrow and hopefully to see Woodville's Casey Beck who pitches for the Toronto AA team.
  2. Texas Prospects  finished pool play 2-1. Prospects win game one in winners bracket 10-0. Derek Sowell gets the win. Next game at 2:00 today with a Devil Ray game tonight.
  3. Texas Prospects Black win game one 11-0 in Clearwater Florida.  Notes: Texarkana bound Justin Copeland hits two -two run home runs. Derek Sowell pitches 3 and goes 5 so,2 w,1 hit, Ty Parker  DH-2 walks and 1 HBP.  Game two later today.
  4. Out of town but sounds like Jasper 12YO win vs BC to advance. Great job DOGS, keep up the good work.
  5. Gray go 5-0 in pool,while Black lose to Baton Rouge Sox 3-1.
  6. Both Black and Gray are 4-0 in pool play with one more pool game this evening.
  7. Looks like another BC / Jasper slugfest for the championship again. I would not want it any other way. Go Dogs!!!!!!!
  8. Both Black and Gray are 3-0 in pool play. Games at Olsen tomorrow morning.
  9. Jasper up 13-4 with another hr in the bottom of the fifth. 
  10. Jasper leads 8-2 over Barbers Hill in the third inning. Jasper has about 3 home runs so far.
  11. Both Texas Prospects 18U Gray ( J. Soisson, C. Burleson, D. Sowell ) and Black ( Ty Parker ) play in the BVR tournament this weekend.

  14. Brent goes to Longview Pine Tree and plays SS/OF. Texas Prospects win game one 5-0 over the Louisanna Warriors. In the Prospects second game Bullard's Nick Rumbelow ( LSU ) pitches a complete game for a 2-0 win over the Sun Devils. One game Saturday at 5:30 and Sunday at 11:30 I believe.

  17. The Texas Prospects finished 4-0 with a last game win 4-3 over the Waco Buzz. Waco Buzz is a solid team with several Waco Robinson players and other stars from that area. Thanks for a quality tournament with good competition, and especially the shade at Olsen Field. Ty Parker and his TP Black play next weekend in a wood bat at ULL while the TP Gray play in San Marcos ( Texas State )/ Austin.

  19. Prospects Black go to 3-0 with last game of weekend at 4:30 Sunday. Two more hr for a 10-0 win in 6 innings saturday evening.
  20. Texas Prospects win game 3 Sat. evening in 6 for a 10-0 win to go 3-0 for the weekend. Congrats to 2011 senior Brent Macafee (SS/OF)for his verbal with Texas A&M this weekend. Final game at 4:30 Sunday.
  21. Texas Prospects win game 2 vs Power baseball 12-6 in Sun Devil Tournament at Olsen Field, ( 3 Bombs ).
  22. Texas Prospects Black wins second game in B/CS @ Olsen Field 12-6 vs Power baseball, out of Houston i think. Prospects Red team won at SHSU with Colton Burleson pitching a good 4 innings and Soisson going 2/2.
  23. Very well said and let's just get the players better as individuals in a group setting. Thats the good thing about baseball you can stink it up on the field and still win as a group or you can look good on a weak team and still showcase yourself while playing team ball. The main thing is getting better as players for the chance to play at the next level for yourself, whatever that level is. Some teams practice two or three times a week and some just show up and play but both are getting seen by the same scouts. Some players have a geographical hindrance from a travel perspective and show up and play works just fine with good results. The main thing is to be seen and to keep playing as long as possible.
