Im sure all of the finalist have many great qualifications or else they wouldn't be finalists for this job.  I know I am partial because Toby is from WOS, but he would be just fine as the WB Head Football Coach.  Look at all the other Head Coaches that have come from the Dan Hooks staff.  Just a few that come to mind:  Thomas Brooks, Barry Norton, Cornel Thompson, Kevin Goodwin, Kevin Davis, Randy Crouch, and not to mention Toby's father Mark Foreman.  There is a list a mile long of guys that become Great Head Coaches that Hooks has mentored and Toby will be no different.  If you have seen his offense it was electrifying and if you have seen the teams he has been in charge of, well Multiple Championships speaks for themelves.  I think that WB can't really go wrong with any of the finalists.  I they were to hire guys like Foreman or Bowser, I think a big plus would be that you will be getting them for a longer period of time because of where they are in there careers.  There is nothing wrong with many years of experience, but if you take somebody that has 32 years in how much fire will that person still coach with and how long will they go on coaching?  However there both pro's and con's on all these guys.  Good luck WB admin on making a hire for the Bruins!

I hate to see this series end!  Always a great measuring stick for both teams.  Good Luck Dogs in 2012 and 2013.

I think Foreman and Flannigan would both be great choices for this job!

I got the Stangs winning 17-0.  Old fashioned beat down at DRH Stadium!  Some things you can look forward to EVERY year:  Super Bowl, Thanksgiving Dinner, and watching the poor old bc card fans walk away from this match up with a loss!  The Dallas Cowboys will win the Super Bowl before bc beats WOS, and we all know that will be not anytime soon!

Im going with the stangs in this one 22-21.  WOS will benefit from a late 2pt conversion this week.

I think that people are missing a big point in that EVERY student/athlete that is participating in a extra curricular activity in the state of Texas has to be approved annually by the UIL.  Whether eligibility is checked in spring or fall or day of the first contest is solely up to those running the program.  Possibly in all the changes made in the Athletic dept at WOS this past spring there could easily been an oversight in not checking eligibility in the spring and instead waiting so late.  However, the young man in question, as well as coaches and WOS school district have done nothing wrong.  Just because some people feel like it was not caught at the correct time of the year does not make this situation shady or false.  EVERY school has the same requirements.  Coach Thompson and Coach Hooks did nothing more or less than any other coach at any other program.  THAT IS BECAUSE IT IS A REQUIREMENT!!!  STATE WIDE!!!  Also I can assure you that at every school in this state there are student/athletes that are participating that are 19 years old.  For one to be 19 as a senior would mean that he or she failed or was held back one time in there school career.  That is VERY common. 

I don't care what changes have been made.  Same result.  WOS 28 - 14.  A WOS WIN!!!

I don't know how people can be on here predicting Ned so easily.  The past three years the scores have been 2008 WOS 33 - 13, 2009 WOS 41 - 21, and 2010 WOS 40 - 19.  What has changed???

I would like to give congrats to the Mustangs as a complete athletic program!  Since 2005 the Mustangs have had as much or more success than anybody in SETX in the four major sports. If I am not mistaken that was the best time of the year for the bc and wos kid, so I seriously doubt that lack of a hard kick was the case.  If this was the situation then let this be a lesson, you should always run 100%.  I just don't see how somebody can run their fastest time of the year and not be running 100%.

77, I know that you didn't think that this was just gonna go away!  Van Wade is correct by stating that WOS gets killed on a year in and year out basis in several other sports by LCM and yet continue to COMPETE year in and year out!  What's sad is that after a very impressive start in year one, the new guy has taken two or three steps backwards.  I know there are MANY fans and players that are not happy with the decision to run from competition!  Especially that competition!  In the end looking for the easy way out will catch up with the bears and once again our community and kids will miss out on one of the highlights of the fall!  ORANGE BOWL 2010 AND 2011 RESULTS JUST IN: LCM FORFEITS!!!!!  What kind of message are you sending to your team?  I will tell you what message has been sent, YOU GUYS ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY WITH THE MUSTANGS!!!!!
